Capitol Police are closing off roads around the complex due to a bomb threat at the US Department of Health and Human Services (HHS) building on Wednesday morning.
Around 10 a.m., the below stated roads have been closed to traffic:
Independence Avenue Southwest between Washington Avenue and Third Street Southwest. Washington Avenue Southwest between Independence Avenue and C Street Southwest C Street between Second Street and Third Street Southwest D Street Southwest between Second Street and Fourth Street Southwest Second Street Southwest between Independence Avenue and Street Southwest

Capitol Police? Is the HHS inside the Capitol?? The Federal Protective Service arm of Home Land Security should be doing this IMO, if at all.

I am by no means a bomber who wants to terrorize the government, but if I were, the HHS building would not be the first that would come to mind.

Somebody wanted a day off and decide to pull the fire alarm. In modern times this means using a VPN internet connection to phone in a bomb threat.
Should be untraceable, but what do I know. I still own a Commodore 64.

Whatever happened to that guy whose car they blew up a couple weeks ago near the Capitol? He got arrested and any news after that slipped down the memory hole.
