Capitol Police? Is the HHS inside the Capitol?? The Federal Protective Service arm of Home Land Security should be doing this IMO, if at all.
HHS is at the foot of Capitol Hill across the street from the Rayburn Building, so it’s certainly within a sensible defensive perimeter if you are thinking active shooters or car/truck bombs. I’ve long since lost count of how many specialized police agencies we have in DC, but they’ve all worked out their coordination and mutual support protocols.
