West Virginia Democratic Senator Joe Manchin said he is asked 'every day' about switching to the GOP.
When asked on Tuesday if he thinks it would be easier if he just 'shifted to being a Republican' the senator replied: 'Oh, it would be much easier, my goodness.'
In an interview with billionaire David Rubenstein at a breakfast event for The Economic Club Manchin said: 'What I'm telling you now is who I am. Do you think by having a "D" or an "I" or an "R" is going to change who I am?'

The folks in WV are slow learners, but the next time, in 2024 if joe runs again, as a demonRAT, he will get swamped.
I was playing golf in WV last month and every one I talked with, bartenders, waiters etc all said they are done with joe.
Instead of clutching at pearls about how horrible the Republican Party will be with another RINO (maybe a RINO) and McConnell now running the Senate...perhaps some consideration might be given to the situation the Democrats will face if Manchin jumps - starting with the end these multi-trillion dollar pork programs (as right now, not a single Republican, in either house supports it), the ability to slow-roll judges (remember Merrick Garland - McConnell left him hanging for 10 months or so after they took out Scalia), Schumer now powerless, and much more.
Just what we need. Another RINO. 🙄
He’ll wait until the writing is on the wall that the Dems will lose the Senate in 2024. So perhaps around 2023 when it benefits him the most and not so much the GOP, he’ll switch. Don’t ever think anything is about the people, it’s all about them.
How come no one describes Manchin as “bipartisan” or a “maverick”?
