Mueller, 77, was appointed special counsel in May 2017 to oversee an investigation into allegations of Russian interference in the 2016 U.S. presidential election. In July 2019, Mueller testified on his findings, which determined the Russian government did interfere with the election but that there was no evidence of Russian collusion with then-candidate Trump.

Schiff, chair of the House Intelligence Committee, said in his new book, "Midnight in Washington: How We Almost Lost Our Democracy and Still Could," that he regretted pushing for Mueller’s testimony after seeing it firsthand.
"It was heartbreaking to see Mueller, this person whom I so admired, having difficulty answering some of the most basic questions," Schiff wrote. "Even on a bad day, Mueller had been capable of performing better than ninety-nine percent of the witnesses I had heard testify in my decades of public service.
"But this was not the Bob Mueller I knew," he continued. "Two years had brought a striking change, and I suddenly understood not only his own reluctance to testify, but the protective instincts of his dedicated staff. Had I known how much he had changed, I would not have pursued his testimony with such vigor—in fact, I would not have pursued it at all."

For once I have to agree with Adam. Poor Bob Mueller and his staff were so senile that over thirty of them wiped their phones of all data. So sad. Clearly that wasn’t obstruction of justice just a horrible mistake by trained lawyers and investigators including Andrew Weismann who all happened to forget their own passwords and nobly and bravely kept trying to input a wrong password causing the phones to delete all their information. It has to be a mass wave of senility. It can’t be corruption. Thank you Adam

As for Schiff, he had nothing to destroy.
Mueller at least started at a height from which to decline....unlike Schiff.
At the apparent rate of progression of Biden's dementia, it is extremely unlikely that he will even be able to do that for the rest of his term. The only question is whether they can continue to prop him up through the mid-term election next year.
If the Republicans take back the Senate next year, they will stop even trying to prop up Biden, since they will no longer need Harris' tie breaking vote in the Senate. Biden will resign (probably with no idea what he is resigning from) and Harris will become President. May God help the United States.
