Who will win in Virginia? Any pollster worth their crosstabs should tell you they don’t know. It’s too close. All of the latest polls are tied or within the margin of error. It shouldn’t be that way, which is why Youngkin has the edge. He shouldn’t be this close.
For a GOP candidate with the former president’s endorsement — and McAuliffe’s constant reminder of it — we’re likely missing some of the Trump effect in our polling. This is the non-response bias that keeps me up at night as a pollster — the notion that those who answer our questions, particularly in contentious races, are somehow different than those who don’t.
It would not surprise me if Youngkin is ahead at this point, and that he wins in November.
Three reasons:
Core message
Handling opposition research
Voter enthusiasm

Then that is a great sign, because one side is fired up like there is no end of being fired up. And I know they are all voting. Many of them have been voting early to see if someone else voted in their name.
if the other side has no enthusiasm, like the pollsters are saying, then that makes the cheat even harder.
Doesn’t matter how well Youngkin is doing, if the Democrats can steal it.
Is vote-by-mail still in place? If so, then McAuliffe is going to win. ‘Witness signatures’ won’t make a bit of difference.
Polls are for fools.
875 polled? Yeah, that’s scientific.
Then hit them in the pocketbook. Say it will sterilize all the women.
I live in Real Virginia where the Red/Blue ratio is about 3/2, unlike Maoist Virginia where the ratio is the inverse. In this election the one unknowable factor, and polls would not show this, is how many reliably Socialist voters are utterly aghast at the school situation. If enough of these Karens hold their marxist noses to vote for Youngkin as a way to protect their precious princesses, then Youngkin can win easily. However, never forget that the communists control every lever of election “integrity” in this formerly great state. They even packed the state Supreme Court recently for just such a time as this.
I’m seeing “Parents for Youngkin” signs here in Arlington County.
Wow. There’s hope, then.
