La Palma’s Volcanic Ash Spreads Across Atlantic
Gizmodo ^ | 10/25/21 | Molly Taft

Scientists at ESA’s Copernicus Atmosphere Monitoring Service have been tracking the ash plume since the volcano first started erupting in late September. Initially, the plumes of sulfur dioxide from the volcano traveled east from the Canary Islands to northern Africa and southern Europe, eventually getting to parts of northern and western Europe. Thanks to a change in wind direction in early October, though, the plume is now flowing roughly 5,000 miles (8,000 kilometers) across the Atlantic and over the Caribbean.

Since the directional shift, the Atlantic has also gone unseasonably quiet when it comes to hurricanes and tropical storms. There are a lot of factors that go into the formation of hurricanes. Not only do ocean waters need to be warm enough to feed the churning storm (which, -snip- is happening more and more often), but the air in the atmosphere also needs to be moist and unstable to allow the storm to grow. Any change in the atmospheric conditions–outside factors that make it drier or warmer—can influence how hurricanes form.

They need to keep their ash in their own country.

Oh no!! Only Greta (the Great) Thunberg can save us from the volcanic ash.

Greta, what are you doing to save us? Why didn’t you see this coming 10 years ago and prevent it from happening?

Another agenda-driven non-journalist writing a story using unverified information.

We are not having more and more storms. The data does not support that.

But this uneducated pawn inserts it into this article to further the propaganda.

In the 1930s, she would have written that more storms are due to Jewish bankers controlling the weather.

Perhaps Greta can scowl at the ash cloud.

Oh, No! The pollution! Did too many people in the Canary Islands cause the volcano to erupt? Maybe she can go there, by row boat, and ask everyone to leave or jump into the volcano for the good of the planet?

Maybe they will opt to sacrifice her to the gods?

Of course, it’s the overpopulation. The weight of all of the people are pushing into the ground, forcing the lava and ash out!

My wife got to spend an extra 2 weeks in England when that volcano erupted in Iceland.

Ya know, living in South Carolina, I’ve been very out of breath starting just recently. At first I thought it was my COPD acting up but then I noticed a gritty taste in my mouth. Wonder what’s causing that?

Either that, or else she had to put that in there to prevent being censored.

I’ve been watching this volcano daiy.

https://m.youtube.com/watch?v=XLeYZY6VVAw

Wondered what direction the smoke would go and how long it would take to causae problems...I remember a couple of years ago when a dust storm crossed the Atlantic from the Sahara. I got pictures, here in Texas it looked like a foggy morning and was actually dust from the Sahara Desert. This could cause respiratory issues for people who already have problems. Wonder if it will make its way here...

Ironically, N95s will actually help against volcanic ash!

Excellent!

Nuke some volcanos = fewer hurricanes!

You’re welcome.
