They had good journalists back then. I read it regularly too. They leaned left then but didn’t ram politics down their readers’ throats. The magazine was truly about the music scene and pop culture back then and politics only made a rare, often just incidental appearance.
Yeah, I used to eat that mag up. But all things come to an end, and it seems that good things come to an end a lot faster than bad things. :(
