U.S. Treasury outlines efforts to disclose climate risks

WASHINGTON (AP) — The Treasury Department on Thursday took the first step for financial markets to start pricing in the potential risks and costs from climate change, key to transforming the economics of reducing carbon emissions.

The Financial Stability Oversight Council — led by Treasury Secretary Janet Yellen — has issued a 133-page report that outlines plans to measure the damage climate change could pose to the world economy. Also among the 10 voting members on the council are the heads of the Federal Reserve and the Securities and Exchange Commission.

By releasing the document 10 days before a United Nations conference on climate change in Glasgow, Scotland, the Biden administration is telling the broader international community that it is putting together the policy architecture to address climate change and improve the resilience of the markets.

With the United States lagging behind the European Union and the United Kingdom in responding to climate change’s economic threats, the administration hoped to use the report to assert more leadership on the issue.

As recommended by the report, a special advisory committee would be established of scientists, Wall Street executives, business and labor leaders, environmentalists and others to help develop standards for monitoring the economic impacts of climate change .

Of course this report will totally ignore Opportunity Cost involved in their scheme to combat a totally fictitious looming disaster.

There is a huge climate risk to the economy.

The risk is they will crash the economy with massive drastic and mostly symbolic measures, cost millions of lives and trillions of dollars and make everyone poor.

The price tag of Net Zero 2050 is $3 Trillion Dollars Per Year.

The entire major oil industry budget globally is $900 Billion per year.

These stupid goons are intent on bankrupting the world over a false premise, that mankind controls climate change - utterly untrue.

If climate change is putting humanity “at risk”, just what is the risk? That you will walk outside at some point when it is raining, and you are carrying no rain gear? Well, then, come back in out of the rain.

The key word here is “adaptation”. Human beings are really rather good at that means of tackling problems, and have often come up with really ingenious means of coping with climate change, even turning it into a profitable enterprise. It is only lazy minds that refuse to adapt in any way, and they find that external physical realities do not readily respond to their pleadings or curses.

The impassive and implacable agents of climate change do not CARE what your emotional state is, and there is little that mankind, even with the most ambitious of plans, can do to significantly alter any aspect of climate, given the sheer scope to the enterprise and all the innumerable factors that are involved.

“U.S. Treasury outlines efforts to disclose climate risks.”

Really.... climate risks? Here’s a few.

Never go boating during a hurricane.

Never fall asleep on the beach during the summer.

Never build your house in a flood plain.

Never roller skate in a buffalo herd.

This can only mean bad things for the dollar. Prepare for accelerated inflation and plan accordingly. The Glasgow circle jerk will be inconclusive on the AGW level, but economically it will be an ambush. Great Reset is under way.
