Here's the plan:

The Republicans win big in November. They retake the House, and they win a an impeachment convicting 67 seats in the Senate.

They install Donald J. Trump as Speaker of the House, after more than half of resident Biden's term has expired.

The House impeaches and the Senate convicts and removes both Biden and Heels Up simultaneously, thus invoking the Presidential Succession Act of 1947 which makes the Speaker of the House President if both the President and Vice President offices are vacant.

Trump finishes out Biden's 1 3/4 years of his term, then because he served less than 2 years Trump is still eligible to run for President again in 2024.

Thus we get almost 10 years of President Trump!

I don't believe I ever heard the "moderate" Democrats say they wouldn't. But that still has nothing to do with what he says. So, unless he really is not an America first true believer, then we cannot be sure what he will do. Like you said, we have to wait and see. I for one am willing to take him at his word, at least for now. 🙂

In other words, I am not predisposed to judge him prematurely. Talk is cheap, no one can deny that, but at least he is willing to talk about what I hold dear. That's a start. Let's see if he continues down the path, or screws up and shows his true self. They almost always do if they are insincere. 🙂
