Homeland Security Secretary Alejandro Mayorkas tested positive for a COVID-19 breakthrough case on Tuesday, a department spokesperson said in a statement reported by CNN.
Mayorkas was tested for the virus as part of routine pre-travel protocols, according to the statement from spokesperson Marsha Espinosa. He was preparing to travel to Colombia with Secretary of State Antony Blinken, according to CNN.
Mayorkas is experiencing mild congestion and will continue to work from home.

Denoting these infections “breakthrough” at this point is nonsense. It appears completely evident that these vaccines do nothing to prevent the vaccinated from getting COVID, or dying of it as well. There’s nothing to “break through”.
And this idiotic argument going around that “You won’t get as sick if you’re vaccinated” is fallacy. Most people who get COVID don’t get that sick. Some even have to be told they have it.
He’ll be a reliable Democrat vote for the next 100 years, dead or alive.

Yeah well, “Rare” we’ve been told. Safe and effective we’ve been told. Us, still miscreants unvaxxed. Why? Cause we don’t want to. Like flu shots. We don’t want to.
Very true. These are not vaccines. I’m not sure what they are but they aren’t vaccines.
Most people I know that have had covid only found out because they went to the doctor for what felt like sinus infections or bronchitis. Three of my siblings had it. One had the digestive problems and the other two only had mild cold like symptoms similar to bronchitis.
I know some people get really sick but most do not. I know of only two that ended up in the hospital and I read about a lady in another town that died.
It’s more like a really bad flu in some people from what I have witnessed.
God has a great sense of humor!
Do people who have the mumps vaccine get the mumps? Do people who have the polio vaccine get polio? What kind of crap vaccine is this?
