President Joe Biden’s effort to forgive farmers’ debts based on race continues as several Minnesota media outlets lament that too many white farmers are in the state and federal assistance is needed to correct past racist agricultural policies targeting black farmers.

My sister and her husband own a small farm in southern Minnesota.
They work like dogs 24/7 and she also has an outside job.

Lots of whites don’t want to be farmers, either.
Not many kids want the backbreaking endless toil that Dad and Granddad endured on the family farm. The farms here in North Idaho around Coeur d’Alene are all being sold off to developers and huge new subdivisions are sprouting like weeds everywhere. Yuck.
It’s almost impossible to run a small farm as a successful business. Business success comes with huge scale.
