Yes. These vaccines are **not 100 percent foolproof****. Nobody has ever said they are perfect. But they greatly protect those without major health issues, (And we are so glad that we got ours here and we are fully coming out of restrictions in lockdown in Japan with so few comparative deaths or hospitalizations after two years)… Colin Powell had been treated for a cancer that severely impairs the immune system, lowering coronavirus vaccine effectiveness. May he Rest In Peace. Good general in the field, I’ll grant him that. I had my later political differences with him. So what.
She surely didn’t want to break her ankle, collar bone or bash her head. As for getting the Covid vaccines, she got the two shots without hesitation or reservation. I managed to convince her to delay getting the booster.

This is a testable theory. Find some evidence to support it. Also - define some conditions that will disprove the theory.
That is the real hard part of Science(tm).
So here is a schema:
Find a source that shows increasing and statistically significant rates of cancer within the last year.
Bonus points if you can find a comparison of patients status with those rates (Jabbed vs un-Jabbed).
More points if the sample size is large (100+ patients).
Way more points if there are similar findings from multiple studies.
Maximum points if the correlation is strongly positive between jabbed patients and the new cancer. Bingo!
A strong correlation indicates (but does not prove) causation. Still, you've got to play the odds.
This condition does not prove the theory, but it is a very strong indicator. If you find this indicator, the theory is "probably true". Choose your next actions accordingly. Life is full of uncertainty.
If data sources show zero or negative correlation, the theory is false. Discard it. Come up with a new theory to explain the weirdness that you sense around you.

I am still looking for data as described in that schema. I just have not found it yet. It might be out there. If it is, then somebody will find it.
Isn't Powell the perfect candidate for the vaccine as per the CDC and Fauci. It didn't work.
The only thing it did accomplish was to stabilize his condition. He's now dead.

Powell had a rare, clear-cut opportunity to rid the world of evil. A despot. A dictator. A torturer and killer of his fellow man. A genocidal maniac.
The reasons for the Kuwait action or Saddam Hussein’s previous role as a US proxy were unimportant at the time. And, as we know, we ended up going and taking him out later anyway. More blood & treasure, as it were.
Powell, the so-called honorable military man, instead advised and even demanded a U-turn. And got it.
In his post-military life Powell was a near-constant practitioner of the sins of pride and bearing false witness. One might think that someone so accomplished and apparently strong in character would decline any media come-ons to metaphorically stab his ostensible colleagues in the back but Powell relished such chances and seemed particularly susceptible to cheap media flattery.
It is said that his wife was staunchly opposed to any run for the presidency. In this, at least, she was correct about the rough and tumble of politics. But that certainly didn’t prevent her husband from practicing the worst sort of politics - sniping from the sidelines.
He will have to face his God now and explain.

How long did he live with multiple myeloma, and how long did he live with the vaccine? I’d like to know the answers to those questions.
The costs of fixating on COVID alone are much more dire. We have become so obsessed and fearful of the virus that we are expending a disproportionate share of our resources on a virus that is less dangerous than the flu for the majority of the population.
The number of fatalities is the primary metric for most people. Contrary to the propaganda, hospitals and ICUs were not overwhelmed. In fact, doctors, nurses, and other staff were laid off during the lockdowns because people did not go to the hospitals for regular screenings or procedures. Even after the lockdowns, people are fearful of going to the doctors or hospital for fear of contracting the virus. Those costs will be enormous down the road.
What has the virus cost our economy? We have spent over a trillion dollars on payments to businesses and individuals. Suicides, drug overdoses, crime, etc. have seen drastic increases. Weddings, funerals, church services, and other functions have been limited or eliminated. People have been prevented from visiting dying loved ones. What kind of society are we becoming as our civil liberties are being taken away in the name of mandates from government drunk on power? People are becoming compliant without much resistance.
Why are you so fixated on COVID alone rather than view it in a much larger context? Denmark, Sweden, Singapore, and other countries have removed all restrictions and returned to normal living. We must accept living with the virus as we have with AIDS. And we must do more on therapeutics rather than thinking we can vaccinate our way out of the pandemic.
No one seems to want to take that into account.
The damage he did by endorsing Obama,Hillary and Biden more than offset the goodwill from his military service, so I choose not to honor him.
