Between Oct. 17 and Nov. 2, a video featuring Harris will play during the morning services of over 300 black churches across Virginia. In the video, Harris encourages viewers to vote for gubernatorial candidate Terry McAuliffe in the upcoming election, according to CNN.
The announcement generated controversy on social media, with many questioning if playing the video at church violates laws against political partisanship by religious institutions. Since 1954, Congress has prohibited all 501(c)(3) organizations, including churches, from participating in political campaigns in order to maintain their exemption from income tax.

Do these black churches want to help Terry McAuliffe with this Kamel Hair video, or do they want to ruin his chances?
Abortion and the Democrats: killing half of black babies in the name of sex without consequences
Anybody can report some entity to the IRS. In this case, a whole bunch of people should report this to the IRS. Also contact your senators and representative.
Abortion and the Democrats: killing half of black babies in the name of sex without consequences
Any black church that would give the VP airtime is lost.
I wonder how many of these black churches support their “brothers and sisters” in Africa by sending help and gifts like Samaritans Purse, Christmas gifts to the kids there.
Won’t go anywhere. The system is corrupt.
Democrats have been using black churches as campaign platforms for decades, illegally, and no one does anything about it.
I’m sure you’re right, but I keep seeing all these posts on FR about how we need to fight. If there is no hope, then I wonder what we should do. For the younger generation, I hope they seriously think about escape, although I’m not sure where to go. The guy on youtube, the Nomad Capitalist, has some ideas, but this old gal is too old to move to a new country.
This IRS is more likely to investigate you for reporting this.
I think that this was a brilliant Dem idea to get the best use out of their plantation “help”.
Sixty years ago.
Today, it will backfire.
When Catholics spoke out about the hypocrisy and virtue signaling of Biden and Pelosi while cashing in on votes from Catholics, and stated that abortion enablinx and outright promotion, forcing hospital staff to work on abortions against their conscience and using tax money to fund abortion is all wrong and not just “going along as a government leader has to go along while in office sometimes” there were instant jackbooted threats “we will take away your religious exemption for taxes because you violated church and state separation.” Oh, yeah? Really?
What is this, then? Showing Dem stuff in ads IN CHURCH?
Satan is happy. Good people are not.
Those folks love their plantation.
“This IRS is more likely to investigate you for reporting this.”
These days all it will do is make entering names into a database easier and more convenient.
Guess this does not apply if you’re a Rat:
The Johnson Amendment is a provision in the U.S. tax code, since 1954, that prohibits all 501(c)(3) non-profit organizations from endorsing or opposing political candidates. Section 501(c)(3) organizations are the most common type of nonprofit organization in the United States, ranging from charitable foundations to universities and churches.
They should not receive tax breaks, but they’ll get away with it because they’re democRATS.
I think Sanger was on to something
They don’t even tip
