The madness of vaccine mandates is spreading across the country. In Washington where radical leftists control much of the government, law enforcement officers are being fired over not complying with Governor Jay Inslee’s vaccine mandates. One cop had a message for Inslee as he signed off for the final time after 22 years:

Tomorrow, Dimslee’s purge hits as 11 percent of state employees, including state troopers, are fired for not bending to his diktat.

I don’t think they will be able to prevent paying unemployment to those people. They will probably have to pay significant damages as well.
BTW - why don’t they also try to take away their pensions?

With 22 years of experience and what seems to be a great attitude, this cop should have no problem moving to Texas or Florida and getting a LEO job with equal pay and benefits.

We shall see on the unemployment benefits, this will be worked out in the courts.
Unemployment benefits may be different than vested pension benefits, or from contributory 401-k type benefits. Unemployment checks are un-earned benefits based on state finances.
It might be a bit of a downgrade pay wise but many of the eastern WA municipal LE agencies do not require vaXX. I’m looking out the window right now and do not see any “self-imposed Communism”. Really no need to leave this part of the country. Texas pay might be lower anyway.
