We here in Crazyfornia have known about the Trucking issue for a long time, I watched a couple friends run thier trucks until the very last day with every exemption and extension they could get, then they sold them in Arizona and Retired. My guess is that thousands did the same thing and there will NOT be anyone to replace them.

Therein lies “the basic problem” with insane liberal ideology: they “regulate” to the point where nothing wants to exist anymore. They were, are and will always be the downfall of civilization, including us.

Our Walmart rearranged their entire food section last Spring when the shelves were half empty. When they got done, the shelves suddenly were mostly full. Now the snacks take up a full aisle, soda takes up another one and so on. They simply increased the space for junk that people weren’t buying much of and decreased the space for food.
Zoo animals are getting nervous...
Ok, the trucking issue makes sense. Now truckers have to buy new trucks and that’s very expensive. If half the truckers go out, all at once, and buy new trucks the price for each will be astronomical. That’s assuming the trucks are even available given the shortages.
So basically this is caused by the Democrat Party.
And just last week there was a thread right here, with Freepers yelping that “empty shelves” is just more fear porn.
I buy whole grain saltines at Walmart - only place I've seen them. A month ago the cost was 77 cents. Yesterday, they were 98 cents.
I get that 21 cents is not a big deal, and the crackers are still a bargain. But on a percentage basis, that's a significant cost increast in a very short time.
