Former Hallmark CEO Bill Abbott will now compete with his former company for family-friendly content with GAC Media’s newest network channels.
Abbott, who helped Hallmark grow its streaming content and become one of the most popular family-friendly channels in the market, left in Jan. 2020 after the company came under fire after a commercial featuring a gay marriage.
At GAC, we’re focused on creating strong brands, compelling programming and a consistent family friendly viewing experience across multiple genres,” Abbott said.
“The launch of GAC Family and GAC Living is the next phase in our strategy to bolster the company’s portfolio with networks that deliver on the promise of safe and entertaining storytelling that enriches lives.”
GAC Media also acquired RideTV, which became GAC Living, featuring country-style, wholesome content.
Through GAC Media, Abbott plans to create family-friendly series and movies about “American culture, lifestyle, and heritage.”
Movieguide has credited the majority of Hallmark’s content as wholesome and uplifting. However, in recent years, the company has adopted mainstream media LGBTQ+ agendas into its content.
It’s unfortunate that Hallmark felt bullied by gay advocacy groups into including plot points that appease the lesbian, gay, bisexual, transgender, and queer community.

GAC Family TV Channel: How to Watch the Hallmark-Competitor Network
I was a big Hallmark fan until they went Woke. We have RCN & they’re not carrying GAC Family yet.
I’m glad you posted this information. I was hoping for a new channel. I hope I remember to watch out for it.
I miss Home and Family on the Hallmark Channel. Ten minute segments of recipes, Animal Adoptions, DIY’s, Gardening, Crafts, Interviews, Beauty/Health.
I came across this channel last night on DirecTV. It was showing Silver Spoons and Bewitched reruns.
“Cameron Mathison and Debbie Matenopoulos, the hosts of Hallmark’s now-canceled ‘Home & Family’ series, are hinting that they might be doing more with GAC Family.
The duo recently announced that they’ll be hosting a Christmas event at the new, competing network, but now they’re dropping hints that there might be more to come after the holiday special.”

I read this on Heavy.com.
I didn’t know Home & Family was canceled. My wife used to watch that. I thought it was just on COVID hiatus. I’ll tell her about this new Hallmark competitor.
Thanks

I hope this channel does well.
TELEVISION GAC Media Launches Two New TV Networks- Here’s What You Need To Know
Carriers carrying it will be the issue, I think... and if they go streaming hopefully will avoid Amazon and others who will just drop them if they get too popular
Me too. Hallmark ruined the Good Witch series after they went Woke.
It would be great if we could bypass cable and just watch it directly online or through Roku.
I hope he succeeds, but the biggest pitfall is to create a “conservative” anything then hire the same showrunners, producers, directors, and actors who screwed up the last network.
I guarantee you right away he’ll be besieged by calls for “diversity.”
Good, I’ll watch that rather than the woke version that I have tuned out of.
Thank you!
