Fox News' Bill Melugin, crew capture cartel gunfire into US: 'This was remarkable'
foxnews ^ | 10/9/21 | Amy Nelson

Video footage shows suspected cartel members firing multiple rounds across the border into the United States. Fox News’ Bill Melugin and his crew captured the gunfire on camera Thursday night from Roma, Texas, and said Texas National Guard soldiers stationed at the border have witnessed many cartel gunfights in the area.

Melugin witnessed the gunfire firsthand, calling it "remarkable" Friday on "America's Newsroom." He said National Guard members were unsure whether it was a cartel shootout or just an intimidation tactic.

National Guard soldiers told him armed cartel members have stood across the Rio Grande and taunted them multiple times in recent days.

Absolutely a problem that could be handled with a .300 WinMag or .338.

But if you really want of make a statement, feel free to opt for an M2, Dillon M134D or a good ol’ fashioned Mark19.

Could be one of those….F*ck Around and Find Out….moments?

If you search for the name Ed Calderon, he’s been on a number of podcasts that are posted on YouTube.

He’s a former and honest Federal Law enforcement officer in Mexico who is now a US Citizen....

He consistently gets asked why the US will not name the Mexican Cartels, Terrorist Organizations and could the US military shut them down....

He responds by say, sure the US military could shut them down, but it would an asymmetric war...with major consequences....

The Cartel could up the Fentanyl in their drugs smuggled into the USA, killing potentially thousands in the process..

The Cartels have infiltrated nearly every major US city with operatives, who could hit and run targets in the US if our military attacks the cartels in Mexico....

So yes, we could stop the cartels in Mexico but any POTUS deciding to do that needs to understand hundreds if not thousands of American Citizens will get killed in the process...

Something to think about...the solution is not that easy when it comes to military force..

Worth watching the video, automatic fire from Mexico into our homeland. I think all of this border chaos has been an act of war and we should treat it as such.

Time for border states to start shooting back?

Let’s go Brandon...

Uh, no. Remarkable is a five-year-old kid who can play Beethoven flawlessly. This was not remarkable. This was an outrage.

Nobody on the newscast mention that the tracer rounds are only every 5th round.

That is because the US is dissolving. The destruction of the large nation states was predicted in the book, The Sovereign Individual by Rees_Mogg and Davidson. Also in the book by Martin Van Creveld, The Rise and Decline of the State. Another Creveld book that is relevant to this is The Transformation of War. The future of war is asymmetric or 4th generation war. There aren’t going to be any grand tank battles on the plains.

Of course it’s easy. F-16s drop 2000 pound JDAMs on the cartel HQs, transport and production centers some night at 3am. At the same moment seize the assets of banks with a presence in the US that have cartel accounts. Keep a giant presence of drones over Mexico.

Not all that long ago, we tested a new high technology artillery weapon at the Yuma range and I saw that the right side of my range fan extended into Mexico.

Obviously, we blocked that part of the range fan from our testing. However, it would have quite easy to engage some idiots with small arms with 120mm HE quite precisely if an accident were to happen.

P.S., we used to have to run IR scans of our target arrays first thing every morning to make sure that we found any illegal immigrants occupying those target structures - so we could clear them safely out before going "hot". Used to find some every morning.

It sounds easy, but we spent 20 years in Afghanistan with all the tools you mentioned and killed how many people ??? Yet the Taliban seemed to have no issue finding new people to fight and be suicide bombers....

Like I said, the Cartels has infiltrated every major US city with operatives selling drugs, if we start bombing Mexico, they start blowing up buses in the US....

They start importing drugs mixed with enough Fentanyl to kill anyone who takes it...we can kill any number of people in Mexico but they can probably kill an equal number in the USA....

Not to mention, if we started fighting in Mexico, the number of people flooding over the border would dwarf anything we are seeing now.......many of them would not to happy about their families getting droned....

All I’m saying is the Cartels in a conventional battle have no chance but they are not going to fight conventionally and will still be just as effective...

How many school buses packed with Children getting blown up are US Citizens willing to tolerate before they say NO MORE...

It is past time that the military include a stint at the Mexican border as part of their sniper training schools. The coyotes should be their primary targets with any MS13 identifiable males as secondary targets. Leave the bodies where they fall as warning to those who follow.

Can’t remember which Fox show it was last night...Tucker maybe...but somebody did point out the tracer fire. Somebody also said it was a .50 cal machine gun. Don’t know if that was true or not. There was no volume that I could hear of the incident, so...who knows.

The NG should setup a couple of MINi guns and send a burst over to their side.

I have to be 100% honest.... I have zero f*cks to give about the level of fentanyl in any drug that comes over the border. ZERO

Every bit of that could be stopped. They don’t want to.

Whether it be finding the labs and hitting them with drones, just like we did in other parts of the world.

Whether it be sending infantry squads and platoons into the desert to track down the drug mules. Shooting them on sight and letting the animals and bugs take care of the body.

Whether it be confiscating any drugs or vehicles at the entry points, destroying the drugs immediately, taking the vehicle and deporting the smuggler, asap, as there is no reason to prosecute them and put them in a US prison. If they come back a second time, put them in solitary for one year, then deport them on day 366. If they come back a 3rd time, a bullet to the brain and body in an incinerator.

Say whatever you want about me. Call me whatever name you want. I’ve seen the effects of drug addiction, firsthand, when I was a cop.

But.....when an addict can OD and then get NARCAN, for FREE, courtesy of the taxpayer, and it usually isn’t just one during their episode....BUT....a diabetic gets to watch the price of insulin go through the roof and they have to pay for it....an asthmatic has to see the price of inhalers and other treatments go through the roof and they have to pay for it....a person that relies on EPIPENS gets to see the price of one go through the roof courtesy of Sen Joe Manchin’s daughter and the company she works for ..... I COULD CARE LESS ABOUT FENTANYL RELATED DEATHS DUE TO ILLEGAL DRUG USE.

The asthmatic, the person who has to worry about dying due to anaphylactic shock, diabetic(in most cases), cancer patient, etc etc, didn’t make the CHOICE to get those afflictions. Somebody, somewhere CHOSE to do drugs....and of course, without getting too much into the weeds, there are other factors that play into that like jobs, education, economic, etc etc that would make this comment even longer than it already is.

I’m thinking that a few heroin labs get blown to smithereens, the Cartels might just have some labor issues and shortages.

If the Cartels in the US, the sleeper cells if you want, decide to Hit & Run targets, I can assure you one thing....and I’m not one of these 3%er, Don’t Tread On Me, Molon Labe guys....that there is a plethora of people in this country that can conduct some very HIGH ORDER violence on those very same Cartel cells. And visit some rather extraordinary levels of violence right back at them.

MS-13, Sinaloa Cartel, Mexican Mafia, et al, do not keep me up at night. They do not scare me.

What separates people like me from people like them is, I have respect for the law. I do not want to go to prison.

Ask for volunteers and let them know that they will be entering a town/city and their job is to eradicate “cartel group”/MS13/Mexican Mafia/Hezbollah/ISIS/AlQueda...and that they’re being given free reign, immunity to get rid of said criminal organization, I think you’d be surprised how many would be getting in line to help.

Sadly, if that what it takes to close the f*cking border once and for all, so be it.
