Washington (CNN) Eleven Senate Republicans broke ranks Thursday evening to vote with all Democrats to overcome a filibuster so that the debt ceiling deal announced earlier in the day could move forward.
Their votes allowed the Senate to clear the procedural hurdle and move toward increasing the debt ceiling. Here are the Republicans who voted with the Democrats:
John Barrasso of Wyoming
Roy Blunt of Missouri
Susan Collins of Maine
John Cornyn of Texas
Mitch McConnell of Kentucky
Shelley Moore Capito of West Virginia
Lisa Murkowski of Alaska
Rob Portman of Ohio
Mike Rounds of South Dakota
Richard Shelby of Alabama
John Thune of South Dakota

Every state, except for Maine, is a state I once considered if not conservative, sensible. What has happened to the GOP Senators? /rhetorical
Does Cornyn ever actually fight for anything?
Basically, Mitch has no control over our herd of R cats.
Looks like the usual long termers that once again couldn’t hold the line.
Trumps so right....Republicans can’t stand together.
The a$$hole put a tweet out saying how proud he was to have voted against the increase (final passage which went along party lines) but he never mentions he voted with the Dems to move it forward.
The guy is a real snake.
Even worse, he was one of the idiots.
First time ever too... /s to the X
Rmember to send that donation into the NRSC

Dick Shelby is a former democrat and Rat bastard from Alabama. So glad he is stepping down.
One last ‘FU’ to the conservative state he “represents” in his derision.
every 6 years Cornyn fights for re-election. god I wish he would lose the next primary
He is one of the worst with the bait and switch
Basically, he’s hoping you don’t notice this vote.
Yep. Retiree along with Blunt. Easy vote for them.
The rest are either in leadership or wannabe leaders in very safe states.
So what are the practical ramifications of the debt ceiling being raised?
What are we looking at economically as a result of this move?
The only I am sure of is if the democrats are involved, it can’t be good.
Most of the same Assistant Democrats that assisted with the infrastructure Trojan horse.
He is a quisling along the lines of McCain. It is sad that we have to pull the lever for that SOB every six years. But what choice do we have?
One thing is for certain, their passion is not for our nation’s sovereignty. There just may be some mitigating circumstances behind their vote.
I’m surprised Mittens isn’t on the list.
You HAVE to abolish the 17th
Otherwise this just happens over and over again.
Not needed this time.
The Dems want to raise it so they can borrow, borrow, borrow for their welfare spending.
And the GOP is helping them!
But Mitch says “no more”. Where have I heard that before.
