Iceland on Friday suspended the Moderna anti-COVID vaccine, citing the slight increased risks of cardiac inflammation, going further than its Nordic neighbours which simply limited use of the jabs.
This decision owed to "the increased incidence of myocarditis and pericarditis after vaccination with the Moderna vaccine, as well as with vaccination using Pfizer/BioNTech," the chief epidemiologist said in a statement.
For the past two months, Iceland has been administering an additional dose "almost exclusively" of the Moderna vaccine to Icelanders vaccinated with Janssen, a single-dose serum marketed by America's Johnson & Johnson, as well as to elderly and immunocompromised people who received two doses of another vaccine.
This will not affect the vaccination campaign in the island of 370,000 inhabitants, where 88 percent of the population over 12 years old is already fully vaccinated.
Since Thursday, Sweden and Finland have also suspended the use of the Moderna vaccine but only for those under 30, because of a risk of inflammation of the myocardium, the heart muscle, and the pericardium, the membrane covering the heart.
Denmark and Norway have formally advised against it for those under 18.

When you only have 377,000 people in your country word spreads quickly whenever anyone of any notoreity any unusual illness. Basically young people just don’t get pericarditis or myocarditis.

How come nobody has addressed this: Myocarditis, also known as inflammatory cardiomyopathy is common in viral myocarditis, the Coxsackie B family of the single-stranded RNA viruses. In particular the plus-strand RNA virus Coxsackievirus B3 and Coxsackievirus B5 are the most frequent cause of Myocarditis.
The under 30 mandates is what gets me going down the conspiracy rabbit hole. Young men heart trouble?, young women fertility trouble? All for very limited risk from the Fauci Flu itself. Now old farts like me is a different story on the Risk/Reward scale. Obviously no one is so stupid to not see this, they won’t talk about it, so tin foil hat time.

I wonder if Pfizer isn’t lobbying in the background.
When the dust settles and the smoke clears, and when all of this is the subject of a Harvard study in 20-30 years on the subject of mass hysteria, one of the main topics of discussion will almost certainly be how these small countries like Iceland and Sweden managed to provide so much leadership and moral guidance on the subject while the most medically- and scientifically-advanced country was stumbling from one misstep to another.
Thousands have died from the vax alone.
