I’ve been enjoying The Dixie Dregs for decades. They never got much airplay because they covered multiple genres, they were an instrumental band, and lastly, their album art was a little strange at times.

Used to do 12 night stints opening for him and others in the Casinos back around ‘80. He was totally coked out but man could he play. Long nights, we do an hour, intermission, he does an hour, intermission, we do an hour. From (8PM to 3AM).

I was not aware of them back in the day, but a friend of mine was their road manager for their last tour in 2018, as a result of that connection, I saw then twice.Great band!

I have a T-Shirt from that tour and I get a lot of comments from fellow Dreg fans about 1 out of 5 times I wear it.
