At the risk of ridicule, Spanky and Our Gang from the 60’s. Their repertoire spanned everything from sunshine rock to folk mixed in with show tunes and old standards. Their musical diversity showed their true talent.
I would also add Tuba Skinny. A classic New Orleans street busker group that mixes jazz and blues.

Alice in Chains. They were part of the Seattle grunge scene but they had their own flavor compared to far more known bands in Nirvana and Pearl Jam.
