“Perhaps the first step toward fixing our newfound dislike for democratic norms is to re-inculcate not love of neighbor,”

This is a foolish proposition.

The only precept that allowed us to have both prosperity and freedom was following the commandment to love thy neighbor.

The big problem is that we’ve allowed the Kabbal to have any power whatsoever.

Pretty obtuse article. I think it could have been explained much more clearly.

“Polarization” is just half the lemming herd turning AWAY from the CLIFF and the ones that are STILL RUNNING OFF the CLIFF complaining about it!

The government has become too invasive. Thus the intensity of competition to commandeer it.

Trump administration. Not one act of political persecutions of dissenting views

Biden Administration: 8 months of habitual attempt to use Government action to suppress dissenting opinions. From Jan 6th prosecutions to the attempt to use the FBI to suppress contrary opinions at school board meetings

Time to stop validating Leftist lies and point out who is really the party of oppression.

Yeah, how are we going to do that when we can’t communicate with each other anymore?

Don’t remove that phrase from the rest of the paragraph...greatly changes the point.

Perhaps the answer is that the reverse is actually occurring: As we’ve abandoned democratic norms, we’ve come to despise our neighbors.

makes sense

I see the problem as one of force. The left believes that they have the moral high ground and have the right to force others to live and believe the same way.

The right is still willing to let your believe what ever BS you want to ... as long as you dont force them to live and believe the same way.

This creates a difference that can not be reconciled, negotiated or accommodated UNLESS one side gives in.

Okay I’ll restate the point I should have made.

First, love God.

In loving God, love thy neighbor. That’s all we need.

The political scientists are from Yale, Berkely and Dartmouth so we can’t expect them to be careful thinkers.

Exhibit A: they conceptualize love and hate as a mathematical spectrum. Loving is equated with “hating less.”

Ben is a smart enough guy, but he is clueless in his understanding of the Left. Also of Conservatives.

The cause of our problems is that we’ve allowed the Kabbal to turn us (some more than others) away from God and God’s Law so that society has become oriented toward them and their silly little way of doing things.

Anyone who still thinks of our problems only in terms of left vs right, conservative vs liberal, or otherwise not taking the larger scenario of Kabbalist manipulation into account, is not thinking very well.

The left-right theatrics is staged. You’re being manipulated to hate your liberal neighbor so that you won’t notice what the Kabbal is doing to you.

My view is that the Left has begun to weaponize government against conservatives. In times past, they argued issues and largely retreated to their respective corners. Not so any more. When the Left assumes power, they go on offense now to eliminate the opposition. Generally, the Right does not do that, except that it is now is becoming necessary for the Right as well purely from the perspective of self-preservation. It is clear to me that the Left has declared war on regular folks like me.
