Former Vice President Mike Pence said Monday that he has a “strong relationship” with former President Donald Trump and added that the two had sat down and “talked through” their differences in the days after the deadly Jan. 6 riot at the US Capitol.
“Look, you can’t spend almost five years in a political foxhole with somebody without developing a strong relationship,” Pence told Fox News’ Sean Hannity. “And, you know, January 6 was a tragic day in the history of our Capitol building. But thanks to the efforts of Capitol Hill police, federal officials, the Capitol was secured. We finished our work, and the president and I sat down a few days later and talked through all of it.”
Pence added that he and Trump had “parted amicably at the end of the administration and we’ve talked a number of times since we both left office.”

“And, you know, January 6 was a tragic day in the history (9/11, Pearl Harbor Attack) of our Capitol building. But thanks to the efforts of Capitol Hill police (shooting and killing unharmed Ashli), federal officials (undercover instigators), the Capitol was secured (by communists).”
This Pence quote is courtesy of my Swamp Rondo Decoder Ring.
Ahhhh, nope.
babbling on as usual, none of the people were armed, the only person killed was an unarmed veteran by Capitol police.
The fact that Pence calls the left-wing violence of the 6th a Trump event is all we need to know the swamp creature.
My damn Swamp Rino Decoder Ring apparently has its own faulty spell checker.
“Did Pence actually use the words “Capitol riot?” If so he is a POS.”
Yes, and added, but for the heroism of the Capitol Police. Bwahahhhahhhahhahaaaa. Yes, I saw lots of “Capitol Police” in black block and changing clothes and coming out from behind police lines, ignoring vandals and pleas from Trump supporters to arrest those damaging the Capitol, etc.
Capitol Police had their orders. From who?
Capitol police are so smart they’re stupid; orchestrating a coup in plain sight
No one expected him to singlehandedly over turn the election but Pence had a duty, responsibility and an obligation to Trump to at least speak up about obvious voting “irregularities” and how destructive they are to confidence in our political system.
He could have risen to the occasion but he didn’t. Pence showed that he is lacking in both leadership and integrity. He took took the easy way out and slithered off.
He’s done politically. Just like most of his Republican colleagues he will go on a campaign to try to restore his image with a litany of feeble excuses.
He’s all about politics instead of principle.
Oh, goody - another round of stupid comments bashing Pence over failure to use imaginary powers that don’t and have never existed for the office of Vice President.
ME TOO!
I need to hear this from my President!
I honestly don’t believe this is true.
Why did Hannity have Pence on?
He’s just another Romney.
He’s a politician so he can lie with conviction.

They’re all professional liars. Its their stock in trade.
Trump better distance himself from the prevaricating Pence.
Well said. +1
Pence was cleaner than the preachers sheets politically. Pence was a known - for nothing.

Only in American politics can a blank resume lead to electoral success. Having no track record can be a coveted thing because there’s no past to criticize.
Except for that whole defenseless woman being shot in the neck thing, the politicization as a Deep State issue, the use of it to create political prisoners who are still incarcerated, and your refusal to do your job, however worthless it was that you made it, yeah, we can thank the Capitol Hill police and Federal Officials.
Craven turd.
Good point. One thought it was a constructive meeting; the other a waste of time.
Actually he may have but we will never know. All he had to do was challenge the certification and let the states decide but he didn’t even try. He let the steal stand.
Did Hannity ask if he thought the election was stolen?
I agree. Both men are an asset to the country.
please clap for Mike, he talked through his differences.
