The Yankees and Red Sox have already guaranteed themselves an extra game, either a Game 163 tiebreaker Monday or the AL Wild Card Game on Tuesday. Both the Yankees and Red Sox control their own destinies. The Blue Jays and Mariners need help to reach the postseason at this point.

I'm surprised/not surprised that no one has posted about the end of the season and the traffic jam the AL is in.
yes it is an amazing traffic jam on the final day of the regular season. We could have a 2 way, 3 way, or 4 way tie for the wild card spots. Today’s games will be dramatic with everything on the line.
Nobody has posted about this because, on this site, many hate how pro sports has gone so liberal.

And our local farm team, with 2 games left, cancelled them due to MLB covid protocols. Not sure exactly which ones they mean but cancelled the remainder of the season. Not that I support any of the “pro” sports any longer anyway. Just more evidence of the CONvid BS.

I was a huge baseball fan. I refuse to watch these WOKE buttwipes anymore. MLB and NFL are dead to me. (Other sports organizations were never alive to me.)
Yes, I always find it amusing that they post on pro sports threads on how they no longer watch pro sports. So why even read the thread and respond? It’s virtue signaling.

Many, many empty seats at Yankee Stadium even during this wild card nonsense.
Giants and Dodgers in the middle of all of this too.
I’ve heard Yankee fans are upset at what they perceive as the team underachieving, and questionable management by Aaron Boone costing them games.
I don’t know if New Yorkers are also scared off by the pandemic from going places, and/or if they are tightening up the vaccine passport system in New York, to discourage people from going out.
And I've sent emails to Mercedes Benz,BMW,Rollex,several Mediterranean cruise lines and several drug makers that promote medications that cost $1,000 a month telling them I don't watch pro sports anymore.

The lower very expensive seats at Yankee stadium are almost always empty.
Meanwhile the upper deck is full where the blue collar fans sit.
By comparison Fenway is almost always full.
