A four-way tie would be cool, but it probably won't happen.
I'm surprised/not surprised that no one has posted about the end of the season and the traffic jam the AL is in.
yes it is an amazing traffic jam on the final day of the regular season. We could have a 2 way, 3 way, or 4 way tie for the wild card spots. Today’s games will be dramatic with everything on the line.
Nobody has posted about this because, on this site, many hate how pro sports has gone so liberal.
Goal…….!!
Just kidding
Look for my MLB Annual Postseason Predictions which I will post soon after the regular season ends today.
And our local farm team, with 2 games left, cancelled them due to MLB covid protocols. Not sure exactly which ones they mean but cancelled the remainder of the season. Not that I support any of the “pro” sports any longer anyway. Just more evidence of the CONvid BS.
Is it baseball season?
I was a huge baseball fan. I refuse to watch these WOKE buttwipes anymore. MLB and NFL are dead to me. (Other sports organizations were never alive to me.)
Giants and Dodgers in the middle of all of this too.
I’m old enough to remember when I actually cared . . .
Go Blue Jays! Go Mariners!
This should be fun. Do the Angels switch their rotation and start Ohtani against the Mariners?
My two favorite teams are going head to head today. Love Ohtani and the Angels, but Go Mariners! And come on, Nats! Can’t you take just one from Boston?
I used to be a red Sox van through and through, waited many years for them to win after the curse, but after they went full on gay, and blm support, I don’t watch them anymore. J used to .ook forward to the Sox playoffs, but they ruined it for me with all their woke crap
Last game of the season, I was in the bleachers at Fenway Park when the Red Sox had to beat Toronto and the Yankees had to lose to the Indians to force a playoff game the next day.
That all happened and the next day was the infamous game of Bucky Dent. I was not at Fenway that day as I had school and work - I was working at Cerretani's supermarket in Revere when the Bucky Dent home run was hit. The radio cast of the game was playing over the intercom. Most of the shoppers didn't care as they would have been watching the game at home if they did. Mostly housewives at that hour - some of them still in curlers even though it was late in the afternoon.
The great Carl Yastrzemski (still alive and kicking today) had a chance to be the hero as he came up with two on base in the 9th with the score 5-4 but popped up lazily to the third baseman to end the game. All Yastrzemski needed was a base hit and he would have been up there with Bobby Orr and Tom Brady in the Boston sports scene. Oh well.
That game was actually 43 years ago yesterday. How time flies.
Happy to say that for the first time in 50 years I haven’t watched or listened to a single game this year.
Has it ever happened where 4 teams in the same division won 90 or more games in a season?
I only lasted a couple of weeks. I really need the diversion of, particularly, this professional sport. I accept that in a way, but not exactly like those poor souls who use completely useless masking as an emotional crutch, my use of sports as a diversion is an emotional crutch. Sorry to have to admit that! Cheers!
Sports reporting and analysis: money for nothing.
Astros won a ‘thriller’ of their own, last night. So many GREAT plays.
Not to stay alive, but to clinch home field advantage.
Today is a great baseball day.
Toronto isn’t messing around, aren’t they?
Looks like it will be Dodgers vs Cardinals, SF winning 9-1.
