In fact, the trend line suggests a marginally positive association such that countries with higher percentage of population fully vaccinated have higher COVID-19 cases per 1 million people.

I think the Covid hysteria compares with other cultural hysteria like the tulip bulb insanity. The public becomes enthralled with some idea and the entire society focuses like a stoned guy fascinated by his distorted image reflected in a doorknob. We need to take a step back, and a deep breath.
I hope we create laws forbidding this kind of nonsense from happening again. Because if we don’t every flu season the Dr. Fauci’s of the world will run around flapping their arms and squawking that the sky is falling.
The CDC and other agencies have shown they need serious overhaul. Possibly, it’s time to reevaluate their core missions and decide whether that mission is still needed and whether the government should be the ones administering it.

I’m impressed by how many people are so conditioned to accept their government is there to protect them. Millions upon millions of the unthinking.

There’s so much wrong with government I would hardly know where to apply my magic wand. The problem with everything...take a program X...is that once established they develop a constituency. The constituency begins using some of its budget towards its own perpetuation. Thus a private firm gets funded to sue for something X wants, or to lobby for something X wants. “Nothing is closer to immortality than a temporary government program.” (Spell check almost made it “immorality.” I considered leaving it that way.)

A good measure of Vaccine efficacy is how many of the vaxxed are reaching the ICU’s(where 80 percent of all Covid who get there are goners) I know this to be particularly true in my area where I work in an ICU and a colleague across town verifies our numbers as similar to theirs.
Nearly all ICU patients we have been getting with covid of late are unvaxxed. Some 99 percent...yeah sounds unbelievable until I explain that of all the covid our hospital has been getting in...90 percent are unvaxxed and 10 percent have been at least partially or fully vaxxed. The 10 percent all generally come in to the less critical care areas, get some extra support, steroids, antibiotics, maybe a few of the new “vir” meds they are trying out, get much better after a few days and go home. We get our ICU covids by and large from the 90 percent who came to hospital unvaxxed, who got only sicker on the general floors.
Yes that messes up some of the narratives being preached about tons of vaxxed people getting sick and dying. Maybe other areas have more virulent strains than Central Virginia. Also, Virginia was listed on one FREEPER map as a green state showing over all covid cases as dropping and it appears to be the case in real time as I see it ...but we have bad days where several just come in sick as crap and on those days we see others just reach the end and several may die over a day in our ICU. We lose 80 percent of the covids that reach us. No I don’t think all that could have been done for these folks before the ICU had been done and some of them also waited way too long to receive any sort of hope from their delayed treatment. There is still a lot of smoke and fog and we’re not sure where all the bullets are being fired from, symbolically and politically speaking...certainly some from friendly fire.
May I ask the treatment protocol for the those who come in sick, then eventually end up in the ICU?

What’s the age range of those you are seeing in ICU? Do they have comorbidity issues?
