Wow, they have human remains digging an intersection in Detroit? The living workers were just standing around and letting them do their job?

A few years ago they were dredging the Rouge River in Detroit and pulled up a block of concrete with two legs sticking out.

This happens from time to time in Chicago. Construction crews will find an old mass grave from one of the cholera epidemics.

Somebody was thinking ahead. City worker with foreknowledge of future street/sidewalk construction?

On a related note, during street construction along my street, I once took a can of spray paint and, after hours, painted my own lines on the driveway access from the street to make it wider.

I came out the next morning as the City was beginning to destroy the old curbing and I thought I was all set. Suddenly the job foreman appeared, noticed my lines and said: “What is this?! This ain’t right!”

Alas, my plan was scuttled. I was mere minutes away from having that widened driveway access built for free.

For some reason this thread reminded me of the old British television serial, ‘Quartermass’...

When was the sidewalk laid?? Check for unsolved murders on before that date for starters.

It’s never to late for this person to vote.

Can’t tell but overall, it’s perfectlypossible this is a historic burial. As in, very old. Possibly even Indian.

Years ago, I used to have an Italian fellow as one of my co-workers at a construction equipment rental and repair place I worked at for a while, and he liked to joke about certain stereotypes, such as one day when we were unloading bags of concrete, and he joked: “This is Italian cement. Two bodies for every yard.” (mimics slapping an underling’s cheeks): “No, no Nunzio! Only two! Three and the legs stick out!”

This was the mid-eighties. Obviously political-correctness wasn’t really a ‘thing’ yet at that point. :P

My thought before I looked at the post, but sadly probably just some poor ordinary snook.

I’d bet that whoever this dead person was, he/she will be happy to know that he/she did get to vote in many elections since attaining ground temperature...

Hoffa, or maybe a white male non-union-ist whistleblower...or even a union member who was just telling it like it is.
