Construction workers in Detroit discovered what appear to be human remains while digging up a sidewalk on October 1.
The crew found the human remains under a sidewalk at approximately 1:30 p.m. at the intersection of Fort Street and Cass Avenue, according to ABC 7. The Detroit Police Department was called to the scene, and a homicide team determined that the bones appear to be human, ABC 7 reports.

A number of years ago, a couple of derelicts were fried there trying to steal copper from a live electrical box.
Years ago, I used to have an Italian fellow as one of my co-workers at a construction equipment rental and repair place I worked at for a while, and he liked to joke about certain stereotypes, such as one day when we were unloading bags of concrete, and he joked: “This is Italian cement. Two bodies for every yard.” (mimics slapping an underling’s cheeks): “No, no Nunzio! Only two! Three and the legs stick out!”
This was the mid-eighties. Obviously political-correctness wasn’t really a ‘thing’ yet at that point. :P
