The Senate voted on Thursday to confirm President Joe Biden’s controversial nominee to lead the Bureau of Land Management (BLM), Tracy Stone-Manning, in a 50–45 vote along party lines.
Stone-Manning’s affiliation with ecoterrorists and her role in a tree spiking plot from three decades ago resurfaced in June during her nomination process, resulting in a wave of objections to her nomination to lead the BLM, the agency overseeing vast swaths of federal land in mostly western states.
In addition to zero support from congressional Republicans, several counties in the West, national and state logger organizations, the Dallas Safari Club and Houston Safari Club, a former Obama administration BLM director, and a former Trump administration acting BLM director all spoke out against Stone-Manning’s nomination as the process played out.
Stone-Manning was a member of the environmental extremist group Earth First! while she was a graduate student 30 years ago at the University of Montana in Missoula, a hub for environmental activism in the ’80s and ’90s. The FBI identified the group as one of multiple radical groups that posed a domestic terrorist threat to the U.S.
After his 1996 arrest, Ted Kaczynski, commonly known as the Unabomber, praised the Earth First! journal and described himself as an “Earth Firster satellite.” Kaczynski’s cabin was located in Lincoln, Montana, under two hours from Missoula, and he said he would at times venture to the University of Montana to use the library there.
During her time at the University of Montana, the now-confirmed nominee became involved in a tree spiking operation. As Breitbart News reported, in 1989:

What seemed to be the spark that started the Egyptian revolution that resulted in the present government was the man put in charge of maintaining Egyptian antiquities. He was a pure Muslim who loudly professed the destruction of all things pre Muslim. (Yes, that’s a thing.) He had said the pyramids had not been destroyed because the technology required to take them down had never existed before. But, now it did. There probably aren’t a total of ten Egyptians who do not realize the value of those antiquities to the Egyptian GDP.
The Democrat Party is so far out into Left field that they’re no longer even in the park.
Yup! millions of straight ticket voting republicans are going to stay home because they know it’s a waste of time. Many won’t even bother to watch the returns on fake election night.

They both voted to discharge her as the nominee (which means yes let’s put her forward) and then voted yes on the confirmation.
I know folks on here like to think Sinema especially is classically liberal and has a mind of her own. She does not. The little fiscal budget holdout was nothing more than a publicity stunt.
If you want to see their real world views and what it means for you, watch their actions on social causes (which in the end do become fiscal ones).

Well I won’t go that far but it’s certainly distressing most US citizens in what this Obama/Boden administration is doing in destroying this country. Everyone who voted for this feeble minded, empty headed, sexual pervert is to blame. ....everyone of them!

I’m amazed at how my interest in the political climate has lowered to that of little I’m interested in following. It’s all bad IMO.....and little that I see opposing this destruction of our country. I’m focused more on preparing myself as none of this is good that’s coming.
Nobody would attach democrat to their name if they had a shred of decency.
To be fair, there seems to be a number of Republican leftists as well.
