Chairman of the Joint Chiefs of Staff Army Gen. Mark Milley admitted Wednesday during a hearing that he told his Chinese counterpart he would give him a call if the United States were about to attack.
Hartzler told Milley, “I understand your intent, but I think you are articulating that — that you would tell him you would give him a call, I think, is worthy of your resignation. I just think that’s against our country that you would give our No. 1 adversary that information and tell him that.”

SMS would be fine.
Spying with no consequences.
Can you believe we’ve come to a point where that isn’t considered treason?!
Firing squad for Milley Vanilly.
Q: Now really, who could call this treason, considering the benign intent of this call?
A: Just about anyone with a brain who has read the Constitution.
If Milley even *thought* of doing this he’s even dumber than he looks.
If one thinks for 2 minutes about this, what does he think the Chinese response would be when he told them of an imminent U.S. attack? They would strike first, that’s what they would do.
Pelosi stooge!
Him and her need brought up on conspiracy charges.
The problem wasn’t that Milley “might” call China, but that he did, and communicated that he thought Trump was crazy enough to order an attack even though he now says he didn’t believe that. There is simply no way to present this any way but alarmist, incompetent, and dangerous.
So... when will the charges of treason (or does it fall under some other noun?) be filed? Wait, the man hasn’t even been forced to step down? Oh that’s right, we are no longer a nation of laws. Silly me. 🙄
Case closed.
.......I listened to this ESD when he was asked the question by several different representatives and senators in several different ways.
Milley tap danced around his answer in each response but there is no question in my mind, based upon his own video responses, that he said EXACTLY what Woodward said he said.
Get a rope!
Aw, c’om man! Thoroughly Modern Milley was just trying to be ‘fair’. Giving the enemy a ‘heads up’ before trying to destroy them. I’m sure the PLA General would be just as courteous, if the shoe were on the other foot.

Slippery slope. Would his idea of a back channel warning include a counter attack against invading PLA in Taiwan?
If Milley had been in charge in 1944:
June 5, 1944. Supreme Allied Commander Mark Milley, increasingly concerned with the ability of ailing US President Franklin D Roosevelt to make sound military decisions, calls German Field Marshall Rommel to give him a heads up on the time and location of the D-Day landings.
June 6, 1944. Having received the “heads up”, Rommel rushes all reserve infantry and panzer divisions to Normandy. The landings are crushed with a massive loss of lives for the American and Allied forces.
In hearings before the Senate Armed Services Committee, Milley stated:
“My loyalty to this nation, its people and the Constitution hasn’t changed and will never change,” Milley said Tuesday. “As long as I have a breath to give, my loyalty is absolute and I will not turn my back on the fallen. With respect to the German calls, I routinely communicated with my counterpart, Field Marshall Rommel, with the knowledge and coordination of civilian oversight, but not with the Commander in Chief.”
You mean like he'd tell ROMMEL that the Allies were gonna' attack at Normandy, not at Calais? And what's the difference with this kind of treason?
“Counterpart”?
How about “Duplicitous leader of the Communist Chinese military that is actively preparing for a war of aggression against the United States and its allies”.
