In his testimony before the Senate Armed Services Committee on Tuesday, General Mark Milley defended his calls with Chinese officials, which he says were to “cool down” tensions with his counterpart amid rumors of a forthcoming military attack, and discussed a phone call he had with Speaker of the House Nancy Pelosi (D-CA), whom he suggested encouraged him to undermine the president’s ability to launch a nuclear attack.
Pelosi announced on Twitter in January that she’d spoken with Gen. Milley about the nuclear launch procedures, apparently in an effort to strip then-president Donald Trump of his nuclear launch capabilities, just one day after calling on Vice President Mike Pence to initiate a “25th Amendment” proceeding, which would have stripped Trump of his position for the final days of his presidency.
“This morning, I spoke to the Chairman of the Joint Chiefs of Staff Mark Milley to discuss available precautions for preventing an unstable president from initiating military hostilities or accessing the launch codes and ordering a nuclear strike,” Pelosi said in a letter to colleagues. “The situation of this unhinged President could not be more dangerous, and we must do everything that we can to protect the American people from his unbalanced assault on our country and our democracy.”
In their book, “Peril,” journalists Bob Woodward and Robert Costa went into detail on the call, adding that Pelosi and Milley agreed that Trump was “crazy.”
Milley told Pelosi that there were “a lot of checks in the system” to prevent Trump from going rogue, the book said.
Pelosi reportedly then told Milley: “He’s crazy. You know he’s crazy.”
“He’s crazy and what he did yesterday is further evidence of his craziness,” Pelosi added, referring to the deadly Capitol riot.
According to the book, Milley responded, “I agree with you on everything.”

Watching Milley stumble over his answers in the hearing tells me he’s not telling the truth.

I thought Nancy looked crazy when she tore up President Trump’s speech at the State of the Union Speech.
For certain, she has Trump Derangement Syndrome and some dementia thrown in.

Nancy’s been around long enough to know the “launch” routine. She was out to influence Milley....and it didn’t work. From listening to Milley, he sounded like he had a real crazy person on his back...and I mean...Nancy. He didn’t take her statements lightly. He called meetings...and they appeared to be urgent.
Bill Clinton was putting a cigar in a young intern in the pantry to the Oval Office, and according to more than one woman is guilty of rape - but he's not crazy?
Biden swam nude in front of female secret service agents, is also alleged of rape, and currently is clearly having neurological issues - but it's OK for him to carry the nuclear codes?
We have people all over government who support the notion that there are more than two ‘genders’, and that being pregnant shouldn't be thought of as a thing only women can be - but they're sane and Trump's crazy?
We could all go on and on with other examples, but suffice it to say that it's not Pelosi’s or Miley’s decision whether or not to trust the President of the US.
In fact, it is this kind of delusional and convenient rationalization that leads people like Pelosi to believe that it's morally right to steal an election. Very, very dangerous.
I think Pelosi is behind a lot of the craziness of the last several months.
She is power crazed and has the other Dems afraid of her because they know she’ll stop at nothing to get her way. She has a truly deranged hatred of Trump particularly, but she hates all Republicans and has made inflammatory and hate filled statements against them as if they were not simply the elected opposition party but an illegal, seditious band of invaders.
The problem is that she has gotten away with this insane behavior. She should have been out of her speakership and in fact out of Congress the moment she tore up the SOTU. But nothing happened to her and she knew she could get away with anything and had essentially made herself the true executive. She was in steady contact with Milley long before the China call.
Obama may be the one behind the current Dem-caused chaos, but she’s the one implementing the strategy.
If there’s one person who deserves to be tried for sedition and attempted coup, it’s Nancy Pelosi.
