Chairman of the Joint Chiefs Gen. Mark Milley disregarded Sen. Tom Cotton's suggestion on Tuesday that he should resign due to the Afghanistan withdrawal debacle, according to Mediaite.
"As a senior military officer, resigning is a really serious thing," Milley said in a testimony before the Senate Armed Service Committee. "It's a political act if I'm resigning in protest. My statutory responsibility is to provide legal advice or the best military advice to the president. That's my legal requirement. That's what the law is. The president doesn't have to agree with that advice. He doesn't have to make those decisions just because we're generals."
The focus of the hearing centered around Milley and Gen. Frank McKenzie's advocation of a troop presence in Afghanistan. But advocation of a troop presence contradicts with what President Joe Biden said in an interview with ABC's George Stephanopoulos, ...

Maybe President Joe Biden doesn’t recall that his military advisers told him he should leave 2,500 American troops in Afghanistan. Or maybe he’s lying about it.
But in either case, he should resign from the White House, Rep. Jody Hice said on Newsmax on Tuesday after testimony from Pentagon leaders to the Senate Armed Services Committee contradicted what the president has claimed.
“One of only two options are here,” the Georgia Republican said on Newsmax’s “American Agenda.” “Either the president’s mental capacity has gotten to such a point that indeed, he is not able of recalling the information given him, the advice given him from his military generals, or he’s lying.”

He needs indictment and trial.
But he is part of the 1619 rainbow flag cartel. They have different allegiances and hold the reins after their coup.
“My statutory responsibility is to provide legal advice...”
Really? Legal advice? Even if that’s correct, is that his primary responsibility? He led with that, so it looks like that’s what he thinks.
A requirement you failed and a law you broke when you decided not to inform Pres. Trump about Nanzi Pelozi's treasonous phone call to you.
Did you agree with her plot to undermine the presidency or are you just a monumental screwup?
If his role is as adviser to the president, why does he contact the Chinese?
Honor and dignity are prerequisites to offer a resignation and to hold one’s self accountable for actions and outcomes.
Milley’s ribbons depict an excess of feats, none of which were in combat. They are “feel good” awards.
To me, he looks like the commanding general in a “Banana Republic,” proud but NOTHING to be proud of.
The ribbons look like he bought them at the PX just before the picture was taken! He is trash and he looks like trash.
That is a telling picture. Ike was a General, Milley is a wart.
Enjoy until January 20th, 2025.
I won’t be surprised if you burn your current bridges before
Another wicked person in a lawless DC.
When is Tom Cotton going to resign?
Only seven Senators objected to the fraudulent election.
I don’t see Tom Cotton there.
Milley doesn’t need to resign he needs to be arrested for working for the ChiComs.
Resign in protest??
are you kidding??
Resign in SHAME!
After Marsha Blackburn ripped him a new one today I would think his option would be insert barrel of service revolver into mouth pull trigger.
Why did our CCP media NOT investigate or release Hunter's laptop? SO CHINA COULD CONTINUE TO USE IT TO BLACKMAIL JOE!
Giuliani and others claim to have a copy of Hunter's laptop hard drive. THEIR FAILURE TO RELEASE THE ENTIRE HARD DRIVE TO THE PUBLIC DOMAIN is a national security threat because China will CONTINUE to use it to blackmail Joe.
Alas, nothing will happen. The Republicans will strut and bluster and then it will all go away. The US has become lawless.
