One day it will; then drivers will be arrested and new drivers hired
Not around here. It is less than 1/2.
https://usafacts.org/visualizations/covid-vaccine-tracker-states/
At least 213,657,193 people or 65% of the population have received at least one dose.
Overall, 183,888,907 people or 56% of the population have been fully vaccinated.
Any trucker that works for a large trucking company has two choices if they want to avoid the vaccine:
1.) Quit being a company driver, step up and become an owner operator. It will change your life for the better. No, you won’t have paid holidays or benefits, and you actually need to work in order to make money.
But you’ll make a lot more money.
2.) Find a company driver position at s family run company. There are lots of them who need good qualified drivers. Stay away from Teamster companies, or you’ll get the jab.
There is a severe shortage of drivers, since millennials have no idea how to drive a manual transmission, or desire to work 70 hour weeks.
Big companies that will train drivers pay slave wages.
Those of us with many years of experience are bringing in great money, but kids have no desire to put that much effort into anything.
No one is going to replace driving fleets. You’re clueless.
Are there many patriot truckers left? I thought they were all from Mexico, India and Pakistan.
My brother, a retired police officer had a copy of a state patrol warning about a shutdown planned for the 27th as early as last Thursday.
I have warned my dogs....
I just retired from the military. I start driving for a brick manufacturer in two weeks. They literally begged me to come talk to them. Thought I’d at least try it through the winter. I’d just be bored anyway. Money’s great !
Plus, they can’t pass the drug tests.
Could Jackie Gleason as Buford T. Justice threaten “I’m gonna get you, Bandit?”
Justice: “What We’re Dealing With Here, Is A Complete Lack Of Respect For The Law.”
Truckers to Bandit: “ We’ll slip you into the rockin’ chair, play a little hide-and-seek.”
LOL
Talk about exploiting a choke point. This will mean war. Prairie grass and okra salads are one thing. But they need that arugula.
Who needs to do a trucker “slow roll” when half the freaking country is already part of one or another work zone?
I just drove from Eastern PA (not Philly) to (basically) the Mississippi River (not St. Louis), mostly on Interstate Highways. Good grief, I think AT LEAST 1/3 the distance was “workzones”.
Bring it to “blue” Cities and States. “Make it so...” as Capt. Picard would say.
Early morning, late night rest areas are routinely filled. However nowadays, so many rest stops have trucks parked on the highway shoulder a quarter mile before and after the rest area off ramps. It has now become quite commonplace. It seemes that the overly crowded highway rest stops have been that way for at least 24 months. There's been a shortage of truckers for some time now. Due to retirements, drug use, CDL training reduced, lack of work ethic, noncompetitive wages and the virus consideration. The remaining stressed truckers had driven their DOT allotted/allowable hours, hence the rest areas are filled.
Some dogs are very very smart and Loyal.
Some Cats on the other hand are smart, BUT they all have an attitude.
OHIO PING!
Please let me know if you want on or off the Ohio Ping list.
