Los Angeles is considering a sweeping law requiring adult customers to show proof of full vaccination to enter indoor restaurants, coffee shops, gyms, shopping centers, museums, movie theaters and hair and nail salons.
The proposal also would require adult customers to show proof of vaccination to enter bowling alleys, arcades, cardrooms and pool halls, as well as personal care establishments such as tanning salons, skin care businesses, tattoo and piercing shops, and massage therapy settings except for treatment of a medical condition.
An exemption to the requirement would be available for people with a "sincerely held religious belief" or a relevant medical condition precluding vaccination. But exempt customers must show a recent negative coronavirus test result and a written note attesting to their religious belief or medical condition for entry to the businesses requiring vaccination.
The city of Los Angeles' proposal is similar to an order in place in West Hollywood. But that order does not cover malls or museums, nor does it offer exemptions for religious or other reasons.
West Hollywood will begin requiring adult customers to show proof of at least one vaccine dose on Oct. 7, and proof of full vaccination starting Nov. 4.
But the proposed L.A. rule covers more businesses than in San Francisco or Berkeley, whose orders don't apply to malls, salons or museums.
Contra Costa County, the Bay Area’s third-most populous, requires customers of indoor restaurants, bars and gyms to show either proof of vaccination or a recent negative coronavirus test result.
San Jose requires all attendees at large indoor events at city-owned facilities to show proof of full vaccination.

The people making these bizarre decisions need to be removed from their positions and re-assigned to jobs where they have no power.
This is all done by design to destroy businesses as workers have to quit! These people are destroying this once great nation while we sit back and watch…for now.
I’ve gotten to enjoy watching English Premiership Rugby. But one thing puzzles me. On the field players are of course unmasked. But when they leave the game, they put on their masks and sit apart from one another. If you are at all familiar with how rugby is played, you’ll see how absurd this is.
Not unlike Boris Johnson and Biden hugging each other unmasked, but wearing while seated and addressing the press.
I am starting to suspect that masks are just a form of theater, but that couldn’t be, could it?

I’m at a large event in LA right now. In the current mode, we either had to show proof of vaccination or a 72 hour max negative COVID test result. Surprisingly, they accepted images of home test results.
Guess that’ll change soon…

courts keep striking down voter ID laws as be “racist” because they claim blacks and hispanics are too stupid to obtain ID ... i wonder if the courts will apply the same standards for Covid IDs, especially since blacks and hispanics are among the least vaxxed groups?
