One way to make access to guns more difficult (to people who use them in crimes) is to LOCK UP CRIMINALS.

The Federal Government made a deal with the states and the people that was ratified in 1791. These 10 Amendments were a necessary compromise by the Federal Government to the acceptance of the constitution by the states.
When any of the three branches of the Federal Government choose to break that agreement, they either have to be brought in line by the other branches or the contract between the Fed and the people and the states is void.
Of course there is the Constitutional Convention route, but something tells me by then we've already lost the 1st and 2nd and are only trying to get them back, which is unacceptable.
ANYTHING out of a Democrat's mouth about weapons and safety is pure hypocrisy.
