President Biden didn't just announce a Covid-19 vaccine mandate on companies employing 100 or more people, he plans to enforce it.
On Saturday, Speaker Nancy Pelosi's House quietly tucked a likely enforcement mechanism into their $3.5 trillion "reconciliation" bill, which passed the Budget Committee, and was sent to the House floor.
Our auditors at OpenTheBooks read the bill. Then, we connected the dots between the following:
Biden's vax mandate announcement The Occupational Safety and Health Administration (OSHA) policies The House bill hiking the fines Buried on page 168 of the 2,465 mega bill is a tenfold increase in fines for employers that "willfully," "repeatedly," or even seriously violate a section of labor law that deals with hazards, death, or serious physical harm to their employees.
The increased fines could run as high as $700,000 for willful or repeated violations — within all private companies who have 100+ employees.
If enacted into law, Biden's hardball vaccine enforcement could bankrupt non-compliant companies even faster than the $14,000 OSHA fine anticipated under Biden's announced mandate.
... And there are a lot of moving pieces.
Together, let's hold the political class accountable.

Just ignore biden. Biden just ignores the SCOTUS.
This should all be struck down as POTUS is not Emperor.
We’ll see though...
Hard to believe that would be considered legal, but we live in strange times.
The Democrats stole the US so now it’s theirs and everything they do is Legal ,LOL
Still think the shot is about health?
It is and always was about control.
Correct but only pubbies penalized
Not having a safety harness for some Illegal alien from Mexico, who’s laying shingles, is a lot different than them forcing their mandates to get everyone a shot.
Fire as many as it takes, I guess to get down safely below 100 employees; 95 seems like a good number. Political orientation is not yet a protected class; so I suppose you could start the culling with anyone who was known to be or suspected to be a Biden voter.
It's time to start over. How we get there, I have no idea.
Require those receiving entitlements to be vaccinated.
Companies also wait to get caught and for a fine to be imposed before changing procedures.
In most cases “wait to get caught” is forever.
No need to fire (except on paper)—have the lawyers work to create a bunch of contractors of valued employees.
Get the paperwork ready now, but wait until the first violation is caught by OSHA to make the actual move.

QUESTION AUTHORITY both valid today. its up to us
“within all private companies who have 100+ employees”
Does this mean it exempts public owned companies, such as those who have shareholders?
You do know the tax reform bill the D’s are proposing would almost wipe out 1099 consultancy....? It’s almost impossible to prove/justify even now when challenged.
Those individuals will need to have multiple clients, not just their former employer; and will need to be truly independent. Even then, the proposed new rules will probably get them classified as part-time employees.
No; employers will just have to get down significantly below 100 to avoid having their employees endlessly jabbed to death to maintain employed status. I wouldn’t try to game it with 99 either. 98 or 97 would be the starting point to get the payroll roster reduced to; and then opportunities for continued culling should proceed from there.
You don’t think they’ll stop at 100 do you? Once they get that sufficiently covered, they’ll drop the number to 50, then 20; then maybe 2 over just a few years.
Soon your only choice for earning will be to sell trinkets over ebay as a non-corporation.
As the Great El Rushbo used to say, “Don’t doubt me.”
I like how you think.
OK—but there are a lot of things that have to happen for the contracting scheme not to work—it would be the job of the corporate lawyers to figure out the loopholes—there will be some, and they will find them.
(”Offshore” contracting seems to be one approach, and just one...)
They haven’t hired them.... yet.
Their so-called “stimulus” bill.....the bigger one.....
has to pass.
