Silent because the Global Times like the Western media does not report the activities of the PAP (People’s Armed Police - a part of the PLA). The PAP regularly and daily in broad daylight beats activists and demonstrators in the streets ; people are literally beaten into submission. There are no by-standers, as people are trained not to pay any attention to other people’s problems - even to terrible road accidents and witnessing children and women being kidnapped as they pass by.
