world wide communism here we come, kill a few billion, a billion more disappeared, and three and a half years”peace in our time.”

Then those last 3.5 years...beware the wrath of the Lamb.

Nixon left office in 1974.

We didn’t start the insane trade policies until the early 1990s
nearly 20 years later.

Opening up China wasn’t a bad thing. I don’t see anything
wrong with what took place from 1974 until the early 1990s.

It was the absurd idea that moving all our manufacturing to
a nation that wanted to take us over, was a great idea. It
got so bad that a guy name Fauci helped finance a lab there
that developed a virus that would turn the world on it’s
head.

I don’t believe for a second Richard Nixon would have made
the same trade agreements that our leaders did in the
early 1990s.

He wouldn’t have agreed to them getting mountains of
patent and manufacturing methods information, while we paid
them to get it.

He would not have agreed to them getting our missile and
MIRV tech, which Clinton facilitated them getting.

They gyro and MIRV technology given China helped them to
make their ICBMs functional. It also gave them a let up
on space. Their rockets were not capable of launching
reliably, because without the gyro tech, their rocket
tech was rattled so much it failed. We fixed that. Ya
gotta love what a sell-out our leaders have been.

This B.S. took place during the tail end of the Bush term,
and the early Clinton years when his ilk were pleased as
punch to do anything to curry favor with Communists.

Then Bush allowed it to continue, followed by Obama...

Trump at least renegotiated trade terms, but we should have
moved our manufacturing to other nations. Sticking with
China was a bad idea.

China needs to crater in on itself, and we need to quit
propping it up.

There’s enough blame to go around. Both parties supported
this nonsense. A pox on both of them.

Noxious Nixon opened the way and gave the CCP legitimacy - had he not, then Mao would be left to stew in his own juices. It wasn’t a bad thing, it was a horrible thing. And then there are all the other things Mr. Noxious did that set the US on the big government path we are on now with the creation of OSHA, EPA (the furtherance and official recognition of of the Deep State), War on Natural Resource Harvesters, condemnation/seizure of private property in the West, creation of sovereign tribes (the beginning of the division of Americans into hostile groups), etc. One might also argue he set the stage for the Church Committer to destroy US intelligence agencies as they were originally created and make them part of the Deep state.

Mr. Noxious was the Imperial President and would have done all of those agreements with the CCP had he the time in office. He was one of the worst Presidents.

Nixon did things that were Leftist in nature. No doubt about
it. Did that make him the worst president ever?

Nah. You are buying into the Left’s hatred of the man. Yes
you are tossing in some things that he should have been taken
to task for, but he wasn’t our worst president by a mile,
and developing relations with China wasn’t an affirmation of
MAO. That’s just silly.

China was a closed society, and Nixon realized we had more to
gain from having a dialogue with China than just acting like
it didn’t exist.

It was going to become a nation with nuclear weapons. It was
his assessment that we needed to be able to dialogue about
our differences without escalating things to a war setting
without doing so.

The Iron Curtain had to go. The Bamboo curtain did also.

We had ties to Communist Russia too. Did that mean we thought
it had a sound form of governance? Did it mean we endorsed
it’s leaders?

How you can sit there and type out that Nixon was worse than
Carter, Obama, and now Biden, baffles me.

Not buying into any leftist crap, its personal. He was one of the principle people that destroyed my career as a commercial fisherman. Stomach turning disgust does not begin to cover it.

I never said he was THE worse, just one of the worst. You are making straw man arguments, or you are trolling. You never lived through the crap he put the country through as an adult.

I lived through others and believe me, Nixon was not as bad
as Johnson, Carter, Clinton, Obama, or Biden.

It’s not even close.

I lived through others and believe me, Nixon was not as bad as Johnson, Carter, Clinton, Obama, or Biden. -- Again, I said Noxious Nixon was not the worst and cited my personal reasons. If you worship at the media created fountain of Nixon-Reagan then you are worshiping false gods, since they never seem to have had any direct personal effect on your life, unlike myself and 10s of thousand of others. Now go away.

If you worship at the media created fountain of Nixon-
Reagan...

The media hated both Nixon and Reagan, but the hatred they
had for Nixon was practically psychotic. They wanted Reagan
gone too though. Neither ever got a fair shake.

It was about as bad as it is for Trump today, but that was
fifty years ago.

I think Nixon ranks as one of the worst Republicans, based on
his Leftist agenda you touched on, but the Democrats are in
a whole other league.

It is the hatred of Nixon by the media that causes me to
rebel against folks claiming he was one of our worst presidents.

You tell me you were an adult in those days, but you don't
express a full grasp of the dynamics in those days.

You actually think the press created this 'larger than life'
impression of Nixon, and that's why some people adore him.

I don't adore him. It's just after watching Johnson, Carter,
Clinton, Obama, and now Biden attempt to destroy this nation
and it's principles, I get tired of folks dragging Nixon
back out to declare he was one of the worst. B. S.

He took over with over 500,000 U. S. troops in Vietnam,
Johnson had put there. The press immediately started referring
to him being the reason we had so many troops there. And then
they blamed him for not pulling them out faster.

Nixon had the North on the ropes a number of times, but each
time the Democrats in Congress demanded cease-fires which
provided time for the North to regroup and resupply.

They declared the Tet Offensive a huge success for the North,
but in fact, the North got the snot kicked out of it during Tet.
None the less, Walter Kronkite declared Tet a major victory
for the North, undercutting support back home.
The media playing Nixon up????

And now you seemingly intimate Reagan was only a popular guy
because the media made him too? Was that your intent, or did
it just look like that?

I don't think Reagan was perfect, but he was the best we've had
in the last 60 years. Trump is of the same caliber, although
his personality traits were certainly different. He was brash
and harsh on people who attacked him. After Bush sitting with
a pitiful look on his face when the Democrats and media trashed
him, I was ready for a brash harsh guy. His tweets didn't
bother me at all.

I'm sorry you lost your Fishing Boat Business. I don't blame
you for being angry about it. I would be also. Putting Nixon
in the proper perspective it's okay. I just don't think he was one
of our worst by a mile.

What with Johnson, Carter, Clinton, Obama, and now Biden, I
wouldn't waste my time on Nixon. Some folks do. I think it's a
massive mistake. All it does is make the Democrats look no
worse than our occasional bad guy, and that is a terribly false
narrative.

Nixon's moves were bad for the most part because they were
politically misguided (Leftist) policy. Some of those
things are coming back to haunt us today. I agree with that.

It wasn't like mismanaging us into a 400 day hostage
situation. It wasn't like providing gyro and MIRV technology
to a foreign power promising to destroy us. It wasn't like
going on a bowing tour telling other nations how sorry he
was for the evils of the United States. It wasn't like
race-baiting setting us back decades in race relations.

It wasn't like leavingg our citizens behind before pulling
our troops out of a foreign campaign. It wasn't like leaving
allies behind, others in the dark as we pulled out. It wasn't
like leaving $90 billion in equipment on the ground for the
Taliban and China to use. It wasn't like turning over an
airport Trump had negotiated to keep control of after the
conflict. It wasn't like backing riots in the U.S., replete
with rioting, looting, burning, and declaring US territory
as an autonomous zone, no longer a part of the U.S.

There's so much more to cover about our bad presidents, but
suffice it to say Nixon is nowhere near the bottom out of
our 46 presidents.

You have to ask yourself why Nixon is not revered today. You
think you know, but look at how Trump is denigrated by the press
and the Left. He won't be known as one of our better presidents
after the media and the Leftists get done with him.

We know better, but that same dynamic played out in Nixon's day.
He was denigrated by the media, Leftists, and even in our education
system as that evil Watergate guy.

Turns out treason isn't as big a problem as lying about a petty
small-time burglary to get information.

No, I'm not going to run cover for pseudo treasonous presidents,
by going after Nixon's throat.

PIF, “false god”...

That’s kind of beneath you.

I explained why I won’t be going after Nixon quite clearly
on a number of levels.

You debase it all by claiming I consider him a god.

That’s what ‘false god’ means.

You know that right?

There are four civilizations vying for dominance on Earth:

1. European
2. Chinese
3. Arablic/Muslim
4. African tribalism

This has been going on for at least 1,300 years, if not longer, and will likely be the last of the conflicts that ultimately decide the makeup of Earth a thousand years from now.

When I look at how the Chinese are treating Muslims and compare that to how the French, Germans, Swedes, etc. are letting Muslims overrun them, I can’t help but think that the Chinese are at least partially right. We might find their methods objectionable (they could simply deport Muslims instead, for instance), but they at least recognize the danger of letting a competing civilization take root within their own.

In Europe we wasted countless centuries fighting among ourselves while ignoring the menace arising in the east and it was only by the grace of God that on a handful of occasions we kept ourselves from being completely overrun. The Chinese learned this lesson, even though they represent one of the other competing civilizations that seeks to replace our own.
