Pacific Gas & Electric has been charged with manslaughter and other crimes in a Northern California wildfire last year that killed four people and destroyed hundreds of homes.
Investigators determined that aging equipment belonging to the nation's largest utility sparked the Zogg Fire last September near the city of Redding.
Shasta County District Attorney Stephanie Bridgett announced the 31 charges, including 11 felonies, on Friday. She said in July that her office had determined that PG&E was “criminally liable” for the fire.

Forbid them from clearing the brush, then fine them when it catches on fire.
What a business plan!
How totalitarian governments work
Someone on here was telling me a while back, that they didn’t
execute proper equipment inspections, and replace faulty
equipment related to starting fires. (Paradise, CA fire)

I see problems for their future full of electric cars and bullet trains...
Hell they can’t upgrade their lines and equipment without a long drawn out legal battle with dozens of environmental groups and the NIMBY’s (Not In My Back Yard).
PG&E Should immediately shut off the power and cease operations. California must be shut down,
By keeping the lights on, the company is in jeopardy. The cost of the lawsuits will be greater than the revenue.
Forced them to install solar panels too rather then maintain lines.
