She was obviously scared sh*tless of him, and had been told shed better do some lying to the cops or he was going to ‘ace’ her - which he did!
He is a psychopath...and those officers all fell for it hook line and sinker! They should all be sued and fired and charged! She could still be alive!

That’s the first thing I wondered.
