California is banning state-funded travel to Ohio over the state’s new law allowing doctors to decline medical services to people on moral or religious grounds. The Ohio measure triggered a 2016 California law that requires the attorney general to prohibit state-funded travel to states that discriminate against lesbian, gay, bisexual, and transgender people, according to a Friday press release from California Attorney General Rob Bonta.

If that's all it takes, 48 more states should emulate Ohio.
Such laws always remind me of when Colorado in the 1990s passed a law which the libs claimed was anti-gay. (Yeah, I think that was the whole point). So the City of Austin passed an amendment boycotting any official business with the State of Colorado. Then they adjourned and spent the weekend on a junket to Aspen.
A year later, they passed an amendment boycotting anyone that had done any business in the white-run country of South Africa. And the next week they had a ceremony welcoming musician Paul Simon whose hit album Graceland was recorded in South Africa.
I think a lot of states are passing certain laws hoping California bans travel to their state. Good way to keep California filth out.
Looking forward to it although it will have to be swift or they'll migrate East.
Figures that a state whose national bird is atheism and whose state motto is “In God we DON’T trust” would react in this way . . .
Pretty soon the rain in California is going to pour on the just and the unjust. I would recommend the just getting out of there before it happens . . .
The fewer places Californian commies go the better.
:)
But that's not what they did.
They banned STATE-FUNDED travel to Ohio. When's the last time the state paid for your travel?
This would only impact government and possibly non-profit (since they may receive state funds for their operations) employees from traveling to Ohio on official business. Wonder how many that might have been in this day of Zoom meetings? Two, if they're lucky. Probably none.
Evey day in Austin, I see more cars on the highway and in grocery store parking lots with CA and ny plates. That combined with the illegals invading, plus the 30k Haitian invasion, not long before TX turns blue..... Beto now wants to run for governor..... If TX goes, the country goes.
Full Faith and Credit shall be given in each State to the public Acts, Records, and judicial Proceedings of every other State. And the Congress may by general Laws prescribe the Manner in which such Acts, Records and Proceedings shall be proved, and the Effect thereof.-PJ
California needs a good A## kicking. In mafia terms, they need to be “straightened out”..
Can more Conservative states PLEASE start passing more laws that liberals hate, so they do t come to them and make them want to move?
I’m praying that Georgia, like Florida, duplicates the Texas law for more reasons than one.
What this is about is mutilating surgery.
Ohio permits surgeons to decline to do it (it’s not even forbidden), California does not allow surgeons to refuse.
SINCE WHEN does ANY GOVERNOR have the POWER to BAN people from traveling to other states????
haha we have the same “problem” at both USC and UCLA stadiums.
Other states banned by California:
Texas, Alabama, Idaho, Iowa, Oklahoma, South Carolina, South Dakota, Kentucky, North Carolina, Kansas, Mississippi and Tennessee, Florida, Arkansas, Montana, North Dakota and West Virginia. And now Ohio.
Maybe CA figures that they can save their budget with cutbacks to out of state travel by their bloated state bureaucracy.
They could make it easier by just banning travel to “red” states.
“well- this is one way to stop people from leaving KKKalifornia....”
How?

I lived in San Diego for 23 years so I know its worse out there. But it has often been said that at an ohio state (SPIT) football game at the horse-shoe its the place where 99% of the fans make it bad for everyone else.
