Graham tries to help Trump and McConnell bury the hatchet
The Hill ^ | 09/22/2021 | ALEXANDER BOLTON

Sen. Lindsey Graham (R-S.C.) has told colleagues that former President Trump has conceded in recent private conversations that Sen. Mitch McConnell (Ky.) “helped” him during his four years in office, even as the former president rails against the Republican leader in public.

Two GOP senators told The Hill about the conversations Graham, who played golf with Trump over the weekend, has had with his GOP colleagues.

One GOP senator described Graham as trying to mend fences between the two most powerful Republicans in the country, who have publicly warred throughout 2021.

I’m sorry, Lindsey, but your bending over move only works with perverts like McConnell.

Lindsey had best get used to this. The hatched will be buried, but there will be only one survivor, that will be Trump.

As long as we can Bury the Hatchet in McConnell.

Bury it until it is clean out of sight.

McConnell is ineffective and has no leadership skills. He must be removed from his position.

These elite RINOS are so divorced from reality.

Meanwhile, the country implodes.

Graham and McConnell are a perfect picture of what’s wrong with Congress. It was never intended to be a lifetime position. Too many in Congress have been there a lifetime and it’s become a retirement home.

Anyone could do what McConnell did, get judges thru. He is not a leader, needs to go.

McConnell got a cabinet post for his wife from the last two Republican presidents.

Without that, no help from McConnell.

So this idea that McConnell was a good solid Republican helping a Republican president is nonsense.

It’s true Turtle got judges through efficiently. Beyond that, I’m largely at a loss. His goal going forward is to get Senate candidates nominated who will be loyal to him and not make waves for him. Trump wants to get conservatives nominated . I’m a Christian: I welcome people in conflict reconciling. But the men have fundamentally inconsistent goal for the next year and a half, and I don’t think Trump should deviate from his goal; it’s fundamental to our survival as a nation

Cant stand obama but agree with him on this

https://www.huffpost.com/entry/barack-obama-lindsey-graham-book_n_5faded94c5b6dd895978913a

According to a New York Times review, Obama writes that Senate Majority Leader Mitch McConnell (R-Ky.) has “discipline, shrewdness and shamelessness — all of which he employed in the single-minded and dispassionate pursuit of power.”

The former president compares Graham to a character in a spy movie “who double-crosses everyone to save his own skin.”

McConnell helped push through a lot of judges. At least that's what I recall hearing at the time. But McConnell is a fair-weather guy, not a fighter like Trump when things are tougher.

McConnell is ineffective

Unfortunately, you are wrong. He's the most effective Senator since Robert KKK Byrd in using the arcane Senate rules to further his agenda.

He's mostly working against us and against a sovereign, Constitution-grounded America, but he's very, very good at it.

He effectively destroyed the Tea Party, and then he effectively stymied Trump in many (not all) ways.

He does not use his skills for good, but his skills are undeniable.

Which is why there is NO ONE of either party who will be able to knock him off his pedestal until he decides to climb down or God decides for him.

I think the reality is the GOP Senate Leader is always going to be chosen by campaign funders. McConnell controls Senate campaign funds which is why he controls so many GOP Senators.

But something else allows McConnell to control those funds. I’d like to know who that something else is.

Because then I’d join a movement to make someone like Josh Hawley become GOP Senate Leader. Hawley is the best.
