With a prediction for very stormy weather ahead for the nation he loves, meteorologist Karl Bohnak signed off last week after being fired for refusing to take the COVID-19 vaccine.
Bohnak had served as the weatherman at Michigan’s WLUC-TV for 33 years, according to The Washington Post. Gray Television, WLUC’s parent company, instituted a vaccine-or-else policy that went into effect on Wednesday.
“I am sad, but, to borrow a quote from a famous ballplayer, ‘I’m the luckiest man on the face of the earth’ because I had a dream as a kid to be a weatherman.
“That dream came true and to top it off, I got to broadcast weather for one of the most challenging, beautiful spots in the United States. As an added bonus, the people I broadcast to all across Upper Michigan were so kind and encouraging,” he wrote.
But a cloud has fallen over the land of the free, he wrote.

Saw where employees at General Dynamics took and stand and said no we will not take the Vax...Company backed down.
I have no way of verifying this, other than I know someone who works on a federally contracted DoD project at GD. The
DoD is pulling the necessary clearances from individuals at GD (and other contractors I’m sure) based upon their vax status).
The guy is a hero. They should make a movie about him. Have Mel Gibson play the part. Or Clint Eastwood. I know, I’m dreaming.
The Jim Jones Jab was just the means to cut payroll. Even if Karl had taken it, he'd still be walking around with a bullseye on his back.

So you are OK with them threatening people with the loss of their job if they don't comply? I ask, because it's apparent you have no problem taking it, and by your own admission that is your "work plan". Would you quit in protest to stand in solidarity with someone who wants to maintain sovereignty over their body and loses their job because of it?

I had vaccination one and two of pfizer in March and I feel fine. I have had TDAP and shingles vaccines since then and am getting a seasonal flu shot on Thursday. I ask my doctor to vaccinate me for anything i haven’t been vaccinated for or to get updated on. I will be getting hepatitis b series soon. I believe vaccination is like exercise for your immune system. I was a child of a military man and we were getting shots all the time. All the poxes, polio, all sorts of things. I don’t believe that people should be made to take covid vaccinations because I don’t believe in covid never have and never will. But I also don’t believe in being scared.

I believe Channel 12 has had only three chief meteorologists in its history: Don McNeely, Bob Reeves and most recently, Grant Dade. Their morning and evening news anchors, Jim Burns and Mike Shain, were on the job for 36 and 39 years, respectively, before retiring.
KFVS was one of those stations were broadcasters could spend a career and a lot of them did. Now, with investment banker owners (who control most of the broadcasting companies), the emphasis is on younger and cheaper, especially the latter.

These shots, just like the ‘virus’, are effecting different people in different ways. Some of the information on the VAERS site is down right scary and if what they say about the reporting numbers is true, it’s even scarier.
Folks are getting something and some are paying a price for it.
Lots of folks have had some pretty severe things go on after getting the shot. Some haven’t. Do they work? Who knows. At this point, there’s no way of knowing, IMHO.
One of the things that stands our the most for me, about all of it is, the lack of debate.
When the state Dir of Public Health says, on camera, that no matter your cause of death, if you test positive for covid then your death is a covid death, there are problems. When you have a guy in Florida killed in a motorcycle crash, test positive for covid and his death is recorded as a covid death, there’s a problem.
When you have thousands of people around this country and millions around the world benefiting from $3 drugs and all of that is censored or said to be misinformation, there’s a problem.
Used to watch Karl quite a lot when I lived up in the UP.
Matter of fact, used to run into him once in a while since the TV studio was right down the road a block from where I lived.
Wife’s dad had the contract to plow snow off the parking lot for that place.

The KFVS transmitter tower was unbelievably tall!!!! I believe that at one time it was the tallest structure on Earth...
I used to wonder what it would be like to put a 2 meter ham radio repeater on it....
I have lived in Cape Girardeau, St louis City, Webster Groves and a few other places in MO...
In St Louis channel 11 once went off the air and we were able to pick up KFVS from Cape on 12, since 11 always bled over onto 12... that was from about 90 miles away.
