WASHINGTON—The U.S. military said Friday that it mistakenly killed 10 Afghan civilians, including seven children, when it launched a drone strike on a car in Kabul last month, and missed its actual target, militants who were thought to have a car bomb to be used in an attack at the city’s airport.
It was a reversal of the Pentagon’s position on the Aug. 29 strike from just days ago, when military officials said they believed that the strike was justified. Military officials said then that civilians may have been mistakenly killed, but that Islamic militants had been stopped. Chairman of the Joint Chiefs of Staff Army Gen. Mark Milley had gone so far as to say earlier this month that the strike was “righteous.”
But after a detailed analysis over recent days, the military’s Central Command concluded that it had killed civilians and had missed its target, even though there was in fact an “imminent and active threat” in the area.

It was not a mistake. At the time, Biden wanted to show he was hitting back at the terrorists who sent in the suicide bomber at Kabul Airport. So our craven military leaders just ordered a strike willy nilly.
Exactly they gloss over that there were children killed. Amazing how the MSM continues to run cover for this administration. Not sure how they sleep at night.
So there was no imminent threat at all. If there had been then the bomber would have cooked himself off at his intended target.
The Taliban played Biden like a fiddle to do their killing for them.
Why do we conservatives refer to things that are actually an atrocity or abomination or outrage as a “joke”? People like Steve Bannon and Dan Bongino, both of whom I respect, say it frequently. I never hear anyone on the left using such a benign term. I don’t like it.
The Biden headline will be: “Biden saves 10 Afghanis from the horrors of the Taliban!”
Yeah, I’m sure pentagon brass are ‘sorry’... yeah, that’s the ticket - sorry...
They didn't "miss". They hit the exact car they targeted. They had an asset on the ground feeding the intel. They had video of the guy loading WATER into his van to take to people who were stranded and needed water. Either the Taliban fed them a fake target (probably someone helping us), or Biden demanded they just kill someone and call them a terrorist so he could claim "revenge". They even lied about "multiple secondary explosions" to convince everyone it was a car full of explosives on it's way to blow up Americans.
Biden got exactly what he wanted. While everyone was paying attention to the news about Afghanistan he got the headline he wanted. On his order they took out a suicide bomber.
And now on a Friday news dump the cowards admit they wiped out an entire family.
All to make Biden look tough.

The person I feel sorry for is the young kid that killed the children. It has to be a nightmare for them.
