The media narrative will be: "Newsom, facing multiple problems ranging from Covid to Climate Change, has survived a closely fought recall election. Chastened, but with his political career still alive, he will re-double his efforts to improve government in California."

The extra ballots were went, and are now being counted, Newsome in a landslide, Republicans will say it was fair and honest.
This is nonsense. Of course Newsom was going to not be recalled. California has twice the registered Dems vs Republicans, and they mailed a ballot to every voter.
Any GOP candidate that wants to get statewide office here has to appeal to the Dem’s. Elder did not do that. The last person to be able to do that was the Governator, and he was a RINO.
