Hope it doesn’t turn into another Allison for the Houston area.

Very heavy rain predicted. Not currently forecast to match Allison or Harvey totals.

Yes! Thank you for that! I’m not sure i’ve ever seen a time jump like that...at least not that quick. I went to bed thinking Wednesday was the est arrival here. Woke up and it’s tomorrow.
Again thanks!

I look at the 5 day
All Forecasts loop and wonder if that front will push Nicholas far enough South to re-intensify in the Eastern GOM. Worth keeping a weather-eye on him (assuming that is Nicholas' preferred pronoun), being on the West coast of Florida.

How far north? I grew up in Angleton.
Nicholas better move on up quickly... Looks fairly well organized for a TS. Given a little time, he could strengthen pretty quickly. Hopefully not.
But... yea. NO NEED to water the grass, or plants.

NHC 1000 AM Discussion:
Doppler radar data from Brownsville and Corpus Christi, Texas, along
with reconnaissance aircraft flight-level wind data, indicate that
Nicholas' inner-core structure has undergone some radical changes
since the previous advisory. The earlier near-eyewall pattern dissipated
a few hours ago, and has been replaced with what appears to be an
ongoing reformation of a new center abut 90 nmi north-northeast of the
old center.

Rockport, so far a non event hope that holds. Made it through Harvey with minimal damage don’t need to go to that pool of luck again.

Could be a big rainmaker lower Texas / lower Mississippi Valley / Tennessee Valley if the Euro validates and hangs an Eastern trough right on top.
