I think it’s worth continuing to post and reread this. The expertise on FR is startling, with bin Laden named minutes after the first attack. The rewriting of history is startling, with many image links broken. The division and hatred among Americans toward our country today contrasted with the unity 20 years ago is just sad.
They hate us for our freedom. How many of us fell for that crock of bs?
It was a Free Republic member that on one of these threads, said it was Osama bin Laden responsible for the attack, and they said so long before bin Laden's name was ever mentioned in the news.
I cannot remember that Freeper's name and I cannot remember which of the original threads he posted that information in, I just wanted to give credit to that individual Freeper and I hope they're still around this forum.

20 years ago our American Flag was cherished, respected.
When 9/11 happened I was in California and needed to get back home to Florida.
No planes flying......so my husband and I drove across our awesome country.......and everywhere....EVERYWHERE!......the American Flag was flying...!!!!
Draped over interstate bridges......attached to car windows!.........homes, .....towns......tiny villages......huge buildings......EVERYWHERE.....our FLAG was held high!......all the way home.....
I remember when we returned our rental car at the airport, military swept under our car before we could enter!
One of the most frustrating FACTS of HUMAN CONTRARINESS that is exposed by 09/11/2001 is how SOME people will believe as fact that is absolutely PROVEN FALSE! In this case, there have been the believers that Osama bin Laden was falsely accused in this attack. This, in face of his OWN PROCLAMATIONS of triumph and responsibility, highlights that ON ANY ISSUE, from 1619 to Apollo Landings, there is, and will be for any future event, a group who will be heretic to the belief!
As for today, 09/11/21, I am mourning our dead, not just in the attack but also in the military actions that followed. They fought for me and thee, God bless them all and comfort their families and friends!

Thanks for posting these. I was at work with no TV and heard about the attacks from a co-worker. All of the news websites were overloaded thus non-responsive so I came here to FR and was able to follow the events via these threads.
At lunch I ran over to a Circuit City and bought a small, battery operated TV to watch at my desk.
