f men stopped filming themselves rant in their cars then the world would be a better place. One such rant posted to Twitter on Friday spread false information about the effects of the Department of Defense mandating service members take COVID-19 vaccines.
Specifically, the man falsely claimed that Defense Secretary Lloyd Austin had texted the entire Department of Defense and said that all active-duty service members must be vaccinated by 10 a.m. on Friday or they will be court-martialed. He also falsely claimed that, because of the mandate, 12 F-22 Raptor pilots “walked off the job.”
“A dozen of the best pilots in the world: thousands of hours of training, millions of dollars of training, off the job,” the man said, before falsely claiming that 16 crew members for B-52 Stratofortress bombers also “walked off the job.”
The unidentified man’s video was viewed over 460,000 times, and soon the term “F-22” was trending on Twitter, which is bizarre because everything he said was false. Here’s why:

When the truth is so horrendous, there is no need to exaggerate.
One does not simply “walk off the job” in the air force.
Though my brother sort of did after 9 months in the Navy.
SecDef sending texts to all personnel does not happen.
Which FBI operative is responsible for spreading the disinformation to discredit opposition to vaccination?
Tell me, did you ever see this posted anywhere?
It’s one guy talking in a car.
Why are they treating it like it was everywhere
“If you get your news from a guy ranting in a car, make sure you check your facts.”
Once I read that, I’m through with the story.
Ok, this story is basically the Pentagon says it isn’t true. Just think of the bald faced lies from the pentagram in the last 30 days.
So now we have to decide, a pentagram spokesman, or a random man on twitter in his car.
Coin flip.
checking it out before posting is usually a good idea

Your debunk us no more credible than the subject of your debunk.
Jmho.
Your debunk is no more credible than the subject of your debunk.
I.e.
I just debunked your debunk.
“ All of which is to say: if you get your news from Kirby in the pentagon, make sure you do some additional research.”
“does not mean taking anyone else at face value is a good idea.”
As you post some snarky blog we’re expected to take at face value like you smugly did.
The less than 10am the next morning made it obvious. It would take more time than that even if it was only on US bases.
Silly poster posted silly post here on FR.
It was also posted on FR: 12 OF THE MOST HIGHLY TRAINED F-22 PILOTS WALKED OFF THE JOB.
What the DOD said, and what this man is saying are not the samething. The deadline varies for each service. It is not 10AM on some unspecified day, presumably tomorrow.
Doesn’t matter. It’s probably accurate that 12 F-22 pilots turned in resignation papers. Probably true for some bomber and tanker crews. The pentagram is quibbling about dates etc.
I think the meat of what he said is probably true.
The pentagram spokes said that Austin “has better things to do” than send out a message, and the AF spokesman said they were not aware of any F-22 pilots throwing in the towel.
The pentagram is only arguing about style. Not the meat and potatoes of the story.
I too knew that particular story was as phoney as anything on CNN.
So far into the worst year for the Unites States since the Civil War, only two military officers have ‘thrown down’ their bars. Only two officers have questioned their leadership. Only two officers has been stripped of their command. Only two officers believed their Constitutional duty & honor were more important thant their fealty to the high command.
