WRIGHT-PATTERSON AIR FORCE BASE — Wright-Patterson Air Force Base was placed under lockdown Thursday night after there were reports of an active shooter at a building that’s part of the National Air and Space Intelligence Center (NASIC).

I recall hearing that Richard Nixon brought his good friend comic Jackie Gleason ‘downstairs’ at Area 51 to see an exhibit. According to the legend, the ‘exhibit’ was a fully formed, well preserved (and ‘most likely’) dead body of an alien!
Jackie, for once, had no snappy wise guy comeback. He was rendered speechless and needed to be physically assisted as he walked away.
Really? Why not, drop your gear, weapons and ammo only?
If commissioned,uniformed officers, on duty were required to wear sidearms, these “shooters” on military bases would not exist. They ostensibly are warriors.

But Paul Lynde did. Evidently there was a question on Hollywood Squares where Peter Marshall said “Jackie Gleason has said that while he’s never actually seen them, he swears they exist. Paul, what are ‘they’”.
In his snide sniveling voice, Lynde answered “His feet”
You remember those days when Jackie was considered to be fat? He was a lightweight by current standards.
