Joe Biden’s speech on COVID was bizarrely incoherent.
He told the American people without qualification that fully vaccinated people are at incredibly low risk: “Only 1 out of every 160,000 fully vaccinated Americans was hospitalized for COVID per day.”
Then he promised to shield them against the evil people who are threatening their very lives: “We’re going to protect the vaccinated from unvaccinated coworkers.”
But Joe, you just said the vaccinated were already protected!
The danger in what Biden himself called an “epidemic of the unvaccinated” is to the unvaccinated. That is what all the data show. Ninety-nine percent of the hospitalizations and more than 99 percent of the deaths from the Delta variant are among the unvaccinated.
More than 200 million Americans have been at least partially vaccinated — 73 percent of the 12-and-over population that is allowed to get the shot. Sixty-three percent are fully vaccinated; that number will close in on 75 percent by the end of September.
What’s happening with the Delta variant is terrible, and Biden spent a lot of the speech importuning the unvaccinated to get the shot. They should. If they don’t, they’re incredibly stupid, and yes, this means you.

President Joe Biden. Biden mandates COVID shots for all federal workers, many businesses But it’s not a crime to be stupid, or to be a foolish parent. People do self-destructive things all the time. Last year, when people did self-destructive things in relation to COVID, it was genuinely threatening to others because there was no vaccine.
Now there is, and it works, and it saves you.

But, curiously, nothing about Afghanistan.
Piss off, Pod-whore-etz.
I’m not sure which is more incoherent; Biden or the author of this article. It doesn’t work well to start criticizing someone for taking a certain position, then end the article almost completely agreeing with them. Criticizing those on the other side of the issue also doesn’t make the point more palatable.
Joe just wane to change the subject. If it wasn’t for coming to free republic I wouldn’t even know Covid was still a “thing” at this point.
Though I see a few more people in masks than a few weeks ago.
I just don’t know if regular Americans care that much anymore. Everyone who wants to be vaccinated are vaccinated. Those that got the Vax don’t care if you’re not since they think they are protected (though thats questionable)
Media eye-roll at you. That is so yesterday.
That was the whole point of the bombshell speech.
The 99% number is apples versus oranges.
Be careful with the “othering”. Remember: unvaccinated does not mean unarmed.
So usps workers are exempt. What about teachers and people on welfare? Also exempt?
Yeshua is King of America, and xiden is about to find out.

If you’re young the vaccine is more likely to kill you than COVID-19. And no talk about natural immunity as if it doesn’t exist. Believe that they will be testing this on young schoolchildren soon.
Has this Blithering Idiot Usurper ever made anything remotely resembling a “coherent” speech? I do have my doubts about that.
“If they don’t, they’re incredibly stupid, and yes, this means you.”
Kiss my ass, John.

If that were only the case. Karen got vaccinated and is "protected" but that isn't good enough for her to take her mask off and of course for you keep yours on no matter what, or else she is telling on you.
So Biden, and the author, are unequivocally stating that getting the vaccine will prevent the spread of Covid. But wait, if you get the vaccine you still must still wear a mask ostensibly to prevent the spread of Covid. So which is it? The vaccine prevents Covid and the transmission of Covid... or not?
And again, if the almighty vaccine prevents you from getting Covid, as is consistently implied, why do you care if I get the vaccination or not?
Yeah, Joe? Well just remember this; when you point your finger at others, three fingers are pointing back at you.
